Nail Rock Nail Wraps

Nail wraps and foils are reasonably new in the beauty world but have become popular quite quickly. I first heard Minx nails and their designs but once I started looking I found there was actually a few different alternatives out there that you could do at home.

The first thing I tried were nail foils, which I bought for about £5 (inc. glue) of eBay. I chose to try this first due to the price, it came with a long roll of foil enough about 8 applications and the glue was the same you just had to but different rolls. Application was easy and the effect was okay but a little messy as you can see below. However I really wouldn't recommend this as it didn't last long and looked really terrible after a few hours.
Then I tried some nail wraps from Nail Rock, these are probably the most popular do it yourself nail wraps here in the UK and are also not too expensive.
They come with enough stickers for 4 hands (you can also use these on your toes) and also come with instructions.

These are also quite easy to use, you first file and puff you nail so they are shine and nail polish free. You then trim the sides of the stickers to fit your nails and then heat them using a blow drier. Once you apply them to your nail you can file of the ends. (Click here for How to)

You are then left with a pretty design which will last a good few days.
Would I recommend these? I much prefer the Nail Rocks over the nail wraps (which I wouldn't recommend) they were quite easy to apply although they were all very wide compared to my nails but the final effect was great! When I applied them the first time they stuck to my nails really well however the second time I felt that they were very lose on the end but I think this was my fault and not the products. I would buy these again and am pretty sure you will see a few more posts about these.

This is a great product for Christmas and New Year Parties, plus there are lots of designs to chose from.
They retail for £6.50 from the Nail Rock website, ASOS, River Island and Topshop. ASOS run a special deal of 2 packs for £10!

What do you think of these?

*The Nail Rocks Wraps were sent to me for review purposes,  this does not effect my review and it is my honest opinion as always.

  2. Don't trust them to go on neatly. I hate filing too. I'll stick with polish.

  9. I think MINX nail designs is brilliant, it is shiny and doesn't need drying time, just apply to your nails and shape it to fit your nails in enough, it can make your nails beautiful for a long time. Very good. like it so much!
