River Island is re-launching its Chelsea Girl range which is very much vintage-inspired. Before River Island became the brand we know now Chelsea Girl was the brand loved by many in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

The clothing ranges from affordable mini-skirts and shorts, crop t-shirts, wide leg trousers and printed maxi dresses in beautiful colours that have a trend driven appeal. Floral a prints and wispy fabrics bring a bohemian feel to the whole collection.

To celebrate the launch of the Chelsea Girl collection, River Island and Cosmopolitan have teamed up and are offering you the chance to become a stylist for the day.
All you have to do is click over to the River Island facebook pageand build an outfit around the Chelsea Girl Item of the Week .
Each week, the creator of the most best outfit will win £200 River Island vouchers.
An overall winner will be selected at the end of the four weeks who will get to style a fashion shoot in London, all expenses paid! This will then be featured online at Cosmopolitan and River Island so is a great opportunity and is really worth entering!

I think flares  are starting to make a come-back and are really nice when you want to achieve a bohemian look. Below I have included a two looks I liked...

What do you think of flares?
Dont forget to enter the competition!

  1. Your top is gorgeous! The flares look great on you too! Personally, I think I'd look ridiculous wearing flares, as I much prefer skinnies! (The extra material would annoy me as well!)

  3. I entered, and I really enjoyed making my outfit. I love fashion, I just cannot afford it, but this was perfect as I could build an outfit for free.
I loved this post, so thank you. Fingers crossed now.
I love flares, in fact I think I still own some from when they were kinda popular last time round a couple of years ago. I think I may have go and dig them out.
