Rimmel Disco Ball

Today's nail of the day won't be to everyones taste and I am still a little unsure if it is too my taste but it is by Rimmel and is one of their lasting finish nail polished. Yesterday when I went into Superdrug to find a glitter nail polish this was the only one I could find and as it was only £2.99 I had to buy it!
(Nail polish above layered over beige nail polish)
In the bottle the colour is am amazing and very sparkly silvery blue. It applies quite sheer and isn't one of those very glittery nail polishes but works perfectly over another nail polish as above and would even look good on just one nail as a little extra. I really want to try it over a blue nail polish as I think it could look really nice.

This nail polish is a true bugger to remove and a lot of patience is needed!

What do you think of this nail polish? What is your favourite glittery nail polish?

  7. Looks good!

Not sure if you've tried it but apparently if you soak cotton wool in remover then press it onto your nail for 30secs to 1 min, it will just wipe right off.

  10. That is so pretty! I love love love glitter nail polish, but I hate removing them. I always have this epic internal debate whenever I want to apply a glitter polish. I usually compromise and only do my tips or one nail on each hand. If anyone ever comes out with an easy to remove glitter polish (or polishes) I would be a dedicated, lifetime customer.

  13. Would look fab over blue polish.
To remove glitter, soak little pieces of kitchen roll or whatever in nail varnish remover, put them on your nail and wrap up in foil and leave for a few mins, the glitter comes straight off (looks silly though). I read it on Lipglossping's blog, I'm sure there's tutorials about on it if I made no sense!

  14. I don't like glittery ones (I went through a huge glitter-ati phase in High School). Also, like you said - such a pain to remove them! ;) X

  18. Agree. Love wearing glittery nailpolish, HATE removing it!

I recently bought Zoya's "Nova" which is quite a nice red/maroon glitter polish (http://racheena.blogspot.com/2011/06/opi-omg.html)

Also loving the contrast of the beige/glitter, but it would look equally as glam with black/blue/green/gold haha so many flecks of colour in that bottle there are so many possibilities! haha

  27. Just bought this and I'm SO excited to try it out. I think I'm going to try it over a coral first, possibly just on one nail as a little something extra. It is the perfect glitter polish that I've been searching for for months as it's got chunky glitter of varying sizes and not simply 'sparkle'. YAY.

  28. I bought this last month and I love it for two reasons:

The first being that its so pretty when its on and the second being that I have really weak nails that chip, flake and break easily. When i apply this thickly, (as in, 4-6 coats - allowing each one to dry completely before applying the next) it really stays on and my nails actually grow!!! I know its a nightmare to get off, but because i put so much on after about a week they start to peel anyway and usually i can just peel the entire set off without harming my natural nail. What I am looking for now is something similar - that keeps my nails growing underneath and doesnt chip or peel - but clear. Does anyone have any tips for a good top coat? xxxx
