50 Years of Lipcote & Giveaway

Many of may have seen on Twitter that lots of bloggers were talking about Lipcote as it is celebrating it’s 50th year!

I have used it a couple of times in the past and it has always worked really well in keeping my lipsticks in place especially bright ones! I thought that yesterday would be a great time for me to bring it out again and try it with a most subtle lipstick appropriate for university.

In the past I have found Lipcote slight drying but I followed the lip-tips form the Powderpuff Girls at Lipcote and found that not only did my lipstick last all day but it wasn’t even particularly drying!

I think the key to using Lipcote is to apply lip balm about 30mins before you want to apply your lipstick, apply a nice lip pencil to help create a nice base, apply your lipstick before blotting and reapplying. When applying your Lipcote use a nice lipbrush and enough product to cover your whole lips but not more than you need. See here for their Lip Tips.

If you have tried Lipcote in the past and not liked it I still it is worth a go as they have given it a little make over of its own. It now smells of Vanilla and the formulation has also been improved. A few hours after application and after a rather tasty jammy dodger from Gosh Patisserie (amongst other stuff) my lipstick was still in place and looked almost perfect, towards the end of the day although not immaculate it still looked very good.

This is an affordable must have product if you love lipstick just as much as I do! I wouldn’t reach for it everyday but it is perfect for days where you don’t have time to always reapply your lipstick or for those bright colours that you want to keep in place.

I actually have a Lipcote which I am giving away so that one of my lovely readers can try it for themselves and hopefully have fun wearing their favourite lipstick!

In order to enter all you have to do is comment below and include your email address.

I've never tried something like this, but it sounds amazing. I always find it so annoying when a bright red lipstick starts fading.

I've never tried this before – I usually just judge whether it's a day when I can be bothered reapplying lipstick all the time and if it's not then I just don't wear any. It would be great to try this and see how it works!

I have tried so many beauty products, but have to admit I am yet to try this! I tend to just slap on any old clear lipgloss over my lipstick… or even just a bit of Vaseline, to stop my lips drying out.

Would love to try this though ๐Ÿ™‚
