Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters

One of the most spoken about lipstick range of the moment (or maybe a month or so back) is the Revlon Lip butters. I personally love Revlon and it is one of my favourite drugstore brands so I was excited to try one of these for myself. Revlon Lip butters are suppose to be a cross between a lipstick and a lip balm but many people were saying they were actually as pigmented as a lipstick.

The colour I have is Strawberry Shortcake which is a pretty light pink
colour, it has a lot of pigment for a lip balm but I wouldn’t say it is
as pigmented as a lipstick. This colour is not one I would usually go
for, even being quite moisturising it still highlights the
imperfections in my lips but I don’t think this is true across the whole
range but just with this colour.

I think that these Lip butters are a decent product, nothing amazing but not a huge disappointment either. I would still be interested in checking out some other shades as it was possible the shade that meant I wasn’t crazy about this product. I think the packaging is a little tacky but that isn’t really a big deal.

The Revlon Lip butters are available from Boots and Superdrugs for £7.99

I have Macaroon and although I like the idea, I find it a little drying. I think I prefer the L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks x

I really like them! People were comparing them to the Loreal ones but I think they're really different, particularly texture and consistency wise. I quite like the packaging, although I can see where you're coming from with the tackiness. My only real gripes with them is they don't come with a lot of product, which is surprising considering they're supposed to be a balm hybrid xx

I like this, I prefer lighter lipsticks just to add a hint of colour. I'm not very brave with lipsticks.

I tried a revlon lip butter today but did not like it. Might've just been the one I used but I actually found it drying :/ Instead I opted for a Rimmel lipstick. Thanks for posting Sabrina 🙂

I love the formula of these, but I also have Strawberry Shortcake and was slightly disappointed with the colour…I haven't been put off the range though, and really want to try some more shades! X

I think they're way overhyped. I have this shade and I like it, but I have another (Pink Truffle) and I hate it.
