My Nail Care Routine

Although I paint my nails very regularly my nails probably lack a little TLC but I’ve recently been trying a little harder and have found some great products in the process!

My favourite new find has to be the Cuticle Miracle Kit by Butter London; it comes with a Melt Away Cuticle Eliminator and Handbag Holiday Cuticle Oil. I’ve tried a few cuticle removers in the past but this is by far the best, just apply a light layer over the cuticle, wait a few minutes and it will all (as the name suggests) melt away. Once my nails are nice and clean I apply a little Cuticle oil and leave it to rest before applying nail polish.

As a base coat and top coat I have been using the No7 So Smooth and the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I don’t think the So Smooth Base coat is anything too revolutionary but it is quite inexpensive with a No7 Voucher however I love the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. If like me you often smudge your nails as you are simply too impatient to wait for them to dry this product will change your life (or at least your nail painting experience) it dry nails quickly, it leaves  them very shiny and makes nail polish last days.  I’ve also been trying the Retain nail hardener by Seche Vite which I really like but I have naturally strong nails so I don’t see a huge difference and don’t use it religiously.

I regularly use a nail buffer but am not too fussed about which one it is as I get through them quite quickly, I do like the Leighton Denny Glass nail file though as it shapes nails quickly and doesn’t leave any rigid edges like some cheaper files do.

After my nails are painted I apply Leighton Denny Touch & Go Cuticle oil as well as carrying a good hand cream!

Another one of my favourite finds has to be the Leighton Denny As Good as New. It is unlike anything I have seen and a must have for any nail polish lover! It can be very annoying when you are coming to the bottom of a nail polish and it is gloopy especially as it is always my favourite nail colours however add a few drops of this and roll your nail polish to give your nail polish a new lease of life! My No7 Base Coat was getting a little thick and with just a drop it is perfect!

Butter London Cuticle Miracle Kit is available from Amazon*, No7 So Smooth, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat*, Leighton Denny Crystal nail file*,  Leighton Denny Touch & Go Cuticle rescue*, Leighton Denny As Good as New*, Retain Nail Hardener Seche Vite*

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Seche Vite topcoat! Apparently it has quite a few nasty ingredients though? x

I sure do appreciate ladies who know how to take good care of themselves. I've only read about it in this blog, but I am quite amazed to know that nail care products are not just aesthetic. They actually keep one's nails healthy.

Iā€™m always changing my nail polish colors. I only apply nail polish which is not healthy for my nails. I should try this kit before I do the nail art.
