Sleek Blush by 3 Flame

I love blush and I have been a fan of Sleek blushers for a while now and my most popular post ever is my complete swatches of Sleek Blushers. Sleek has now released new sets of blushers which feature three new shades in each palette. Sleek also repackaged their Glo Face & Body Highlighter although I am not too sure what the other packaging was like.
I have the palette in Flame which has Furnace, Bon Fire and Molten, I believe it is in that order from Left to Right but I am not completely sure.
Furnace is a warm brown with slight gold shimmer, I find it to be quite similar to coral from the Sleek permanent collection however Coral has less shimmer and is slightly more orange.

Bon Fire is the scariest colour from the palette as it is a highly pigmented true matte red, similar to Sleek Scandalous from the Stiletto Collection but even more pigmented!

Molten is a burnt orange colour with a golden sheen which is the most unique in the palette in comparisson to other Sleek colours.

Sleek Furnace left and Coral right

Bon Fire Left and Scandalous right
I think these palettes are really nice to travel with although I would rather the palette in Lace or Pumpkin
Sleek Blush By 3 Palettes are priced at £10 for 20g, and can be purchased from Superdrug stores and on the Sleek website (here) and there are five variations. They are only available until the 11th April however will be permenant in the Marble Arch Superdrug.

What do you think of these Blush palettes? Have you tried any of the Sleek Blushers?

Nails Inc Haymarket

The sun has finally started shinning a little more here in London and to celebrate I had a rumage through my nail polish box to find a colour more summer appropriate. I do think that minty colours can be worn pretty much all year round but look even nicer when the sun is shining.
Todays lucky colour was Haymarket by Nails inc. which is a pretty mint colour, it was opaque with two thin coats and is just a perfect colour.
What summery colour are you currently loving?

Lola & Grace

A couple of weeks ago I went to the launch of  Swarovski's sister company Lola & Grace. Lola & Grace is quite different to Swarovski as they are more fun, affordable and more edgy.

Lola & Grace are suppose to both have very different personalities however the jewellery still compliments each other and is designed to be layered.

I was impressed with the store and the product, the price is quite inexpensive considering it is good quality and my only problem is that I love gold over silver but there isn't as much gold as I would like to see.

The current Lola & Grace Store is in Westfield Stratford (best shopping centre ever!) but there will be more opening soon- they also have an online website if you want to have a look.

What do you think of the Lola & Grace range?

Sure Max Protection Challenge

Yesterday I spoke about the Sure Max Protection Challenge which I done this week. I spent the whole week travelling in and out of London on the tube, train and buses. As I am not quite as good at planning as I would like to admit I also spent time sprinting to events late.

This week has also been busy at university with two presentations done this week, usually I try to stay calm but sometimes especially with bigger presentations I get quite worried. This weeks presentations were group presentations but I some how volunteered to do most the presentations myself and with everyone watching I did get pretty nervous.
However Sure Max Protection Confidence passed the test (hopefully I did too with my presentation) and I am was very impressed.

What I found different about this deodorant is that it is a cream like product which you apply and night and sleep in. Sometimes I would re-apply during the morning simply out of habit but you don't actually need to!

I was very impressed with this deodorant and would highly recommend it if you are looking for one you can trust!

It is available for £5.30 from all leading retailers.

Sure Maximum Protection

Sometimes I think that beauty blogs over look essential everyday product that are part of our beauty routine. One of the most basic but most important products (in my opinion) is deodorant, I apply mine in the morning and carry one around-just in case.
I am always on the look out for a very good deodorant especially as my diary is get even more busy with university presentations, work, deadlines, events and just general life.

The new product that I apply every morning is Sure Maximum Protection deodorant. I have been wearing it for almost a week now and so far so good but tomorrow at the end of my week I will let you know exactly how I feel about it and I'll also write a bit of a more detailed review.

It is 2x apparently stronger than the leading antiperspirant and can keep you sweat free in all situations

These are available in two formula's Confidence and Sensitive. The Sure Max Protection deodorants are available from all leading retailers for £5.30.  You can also buy them online at Boot.com - Sure Maxi Protection Confidence Link and Sure Maxi Protection Sensitive Link!

Don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see how I got on and what I really think!

H&M Blue My Mind

I have a friend who once said that her friend swears by H&M nail polishes, being a little of a makeup boffin I stored this information and remembered to pick one up recently.
I really thought that this was going to be a new product that I was showing you but a quick Google shows that this polish is actually quite popular and Barabara (ThePersianBabe) spoke about it in a recent video.
I love the name of this polish 'Blue My Mind' and it has become on of the polishes I reach for the most. These pictures don't show the actually colour of the polish well enough vibrant blue leaning towards the indigo side but that does shade in different lighting. It applies really well, the colour has no shimmer which is exactly what I like and last quite well without chipping.
I would really recommend looking at this colour next time you are in H&M.
What H&M colours have you tried?

Glossy Box The Harrods Edition

I was extremely excited about the Harrods collaboration with Glossy box so I couldn't wait to open it as soon as it came through the front door. The box itself was another limited edition one, this time white with the Harrods logo featured, the white actually made the box look cheaper which is a shame as it is Harrods! I had really hoped for a darker green with gold lettering, but it's inside that counts right?!

I had read a few posts about people who had attended the event and was hoping to receive the Burbery Lipstick and YSL mascaras, although I know that with a beauty box nothing is guaranteed.

I received a Fendi- Fan de Fendi Perfume tester, Ojon Hair Serum, Erno Laszlo Cream Set, Burberry miniature lipstick in rosewood and Clarins Body cream.

So, I didn't get the YSL products which although is shame isn't the end of the world as I did still get some great products.
The Clarins Body Cream is a perfect size to travel with, not too big but still not too small. The Fan de Fendi perfume is quite s generous one for a beauty box and the one product I will probably never use is the Erno Laszlo Cream set as they re just too small for me to bother with.

My two favourite products are the Burberry lipstick which is a mini and also the Ojon hair serum. I thought I would include the image with the Burberry lipstick next to the MAC one so you could compare the size for yourself, it is quite small but its still such a lovely product to have received. The product I have got the most use out of is the Ojon Hair serum and I think its really good, sadly I have already spilt half the bottle (being clumsy!)
Overall, I really like these themed boxed and I really hope to see lots more however I hope that it doesn't come in a white box next time.

What do you think of the Harrods & Glossy Box collaboration?

Last week I attend the Illamasqua event for their new Human Fundamentalism collection, as always Illamasqua held an inspiring event with beautiful visual to go along with it! As expected from Illamasqua this collection brings makeup for you alter ego, it is about not conforming and instead doing your own things and expressing yourself through makeup!

My Wish List #1

I haven't written a wish list post since before Christmas and I am also not sure just how popular they are with everyone but I thought today was a good day to do one. I have been trying to shop a little less as I do spend a little too much money sometimes and as I am currently looking for a car I know I will need a lot of money to run it. However I have been working quite a lot and I still have some money left over from my birthday last month so I am hoping to go shopping this week.

1. MAC Face & Body- everyone raves about this foundation so I think its about time I purchase it and give it a go myself, hopefully it will work on to use on my neck when my fake tan isn't perfect too.

2. MAC Eyeshadow- I have wanted Woodwinked & Cranberry for a while but they seem to always be sold out, I'm hoping this time they'll be in stock!

3.Bag from Warehouse (here)-I know I have some Warehouse money to spend and this bag really caught my eye

4. Topshop Jumper(here)- If there is one thing I need in my wardrobe at the moment it is tops, I had a few for the winter which I basically lived in but after three months of essentially living in them I need some more! I love this one from Zara too, have you seen any nice ones about?

5.100 Years of Fashion Illustration

6. Real Technique brushes- I have two & they are amazing, I need more! I will write a review on the two I have very soon.

7. YSL Shocking- I have wanted this for the longest time and now that I finally have lots of Boots points I will be picking this up at a counter! Can't not wait to own this baby!

Whats currently on your wishlist?

17 Va Va Voom

Now I am not sure what the french for Va Va Voom (Thierry Henry Va Va Voom Advert) but this Boots 17 Mascara has it. I'm not keen on the name or packaging as it all seems a bit dated, the name remind me of the advert and the packaging of the (rather horrible) Louis Vuitton Graffiti bag but all that aside I think its a great mascara.

The brush is big, actually very big and I am sure its not too everyone's taste, it makes applying the mascara quite difficult and messy but the final result is worth it. My lashes look thicker but partiuclarly longer and it really does give that false lash effect which I never believe a mascara can actually do. It is buildable and I would apply another coat or two if I was going out but for day time two coats adds enough Va Va Voom for me. Unlike some mascaras my lashes still looked like hair instead of looking crispy and then potentially flaking.

If you like big brushes you'll love this mascara!
I believe this is the new packaging but the mascara is available from Boots for £6.29

Models Own Wah Nail Art Pen

I am quite keen on Nail Art and as soon as I heard about the Wah Nails and Models Own collaboration I was really excited, however I didn't actually pick one up until recently.

In the past I had tried pens similar to this and always been disappointed, the needle end was never as fantastic as I had hoped until this nail polish came along. It is just perfect for any kind of nail art you may have in mind and it makes everything so simple and easy! I have seen a few other colours on blogs but am struggling to find any, also my one seems to be significantly smaller than some others that I have seen.
 Its fabulous nonetheless.

Here are some super quick (and unsuccessful black nail) nail art I managed to do and are super easy to recreate!
These are available from Boots and ASOS for £6
What is your experience with nail art?

LFWE With Elizabeth Arden

On Saturday I was kindly invited to join Elizabeth Arden at London Fashion Weekend for the second season. LFWE is a designer shopping event which is held after LFW at Somerset house, most clothes are highly discounted. There is also fun things to see and do such as the catwalk show, talks and make overs.

I actually didn't buy anything, there was nothing that really caught my eye and everything is still quite pricey but I did have a fab time. I took my younger cousin as I know she is quite into fashion as well, we both got our makeup done by some of the girls on the Elizabeth Arden counter, watched a great talk about the beauty trends for S/S 2012 from the ELLE Beauty Editor and watched the catwalk show.
The makeup on the catwalk was by Elizabeth Arden, the models wore quite dark purple shadows, nude lips, bronzed cheeks with beautifully highlighted skin which really mirrors the Elizabeth Arden new collection (which I will talk about soon)
I didn't wear anything special but I thought I would show you, the sun was really bright and that's why I am squinting.
Jacket: Miss Selfridge Bag: Aldo Top/Jeans: Primark Boots: Tesco
And the makeup look by Elizabeth Arden...
Sheer Light Illuminating pen 02
Pure Finish Bronzer Deep
Ceramide Mascara
Lip Pencil Smooth Line Cocoa Rose
Pink Clover Shadow Duo
Single Shadow !9. Sparkle & 23. Smoke
Lipstick in Tulip
I had a fab time at LFWE, thanks to Elizabeth Arden for inviting me!! I have some great products to show you from them too, so keep an eye out.
