Book Review: Cupcakes & Cashmere

Recently I’ve been loving lifestyle blog, I just love that I get fashion, beauty, food and more all in one place (which may be why you have recently seen random posts on ALO about food, hotels and books). My favourite has to be Cupcakes and Cashmere- Emily just gets it so right so I was very excited to receive her book for my 21st birthday.
On opening the front cover you can tell straight away from the index how well thought out the book really is. You have four main sections; Spring, Autumn, Fall and winter and each section has a sub-topic of style, beauty, at home and food. What more could a girl want?

The book is quite similar to Emily’s blog but as it is such a fabulous blog that isn’t a bad thing and although none of the information is ground breaking I do still think it is quite inspiring. As I am assuming most of my readers are beauty lovers I am sure you will all be impressed by Emily’s stables and Splurge vs Save products. The book will teach you how to paint your nails, shop at a flea market, get organised and so much more.

Overall a really good book; would make a perfect present and is perfect for the tea table. I can’t wait to reference it throughout the whole year and it may even inspire a few blog posts.
