Sunday Catch Up 05

Wow, another week gone and it’s almost the end of the year. Where does the time go?! I’ve had another jammed packed week, which is always fun but I’m excited for a Christmas rest.

At the beginning of the week I went to the launch party of Bumble and bumbles spray chalks and Pret-a-powder which was super pretty! I’ve given the Spray Chalks a go and actually really like them (more on that another day) but haven’t yet had a chance to try the Pret-a-powder.

Tuesday Microsoft invited me down to a Gingerline event MI1020 which is a little like secret cinema but with food. You are texted the first clue and given various other ones whilst being led around east London to find the final spot where you will be eating your dinner. We ended up in a east London garage but had some great food. I think it’s finished now but it’s worth following them on Twitter and keeping an eye out for future event as it was great fun.

Wednesday me and my mum were treated to a mini facial from the Elizabeth Arden girls at the Oxford Street Boot’s counter which was nice and super hydrating- just what I need in the weather. Surprisingly the mini facials are actually free and anyone can book one, of course they do try to sell you a few products but if you were planning to buy an Elizabeth Arden product anyway it’s worth booking one.

I was spoilt even more on Thursday in John Lewis Brent Cross. Whilst doing my Christmas Shopping I stopped off for a relaxing massage with Deleor which was amazing. I always get horrible back pain when I have to carry any sort of bag so that was a really nice treat. However I particularly enjoyed my mini lesson with the girls on the Bare Minerals counter. I’ve heard such great things about Bare Minerals but never really tried anything but they sat me down and talked me through everything. I left with a beautiful smoky eye perfect for any Christmas party and was also impressed by their foundation (horrible iPhone photo below)

I never thought about popping into John Lewis for some pre-party/post-shopping pampering but it makes such a great present to yourself at Christmas time. Everyone needs/wants a little pampering especially around a stressful time like Christmas!

This was my Christmas Jumper that I wore on Christmas Jumper Day- what did you wear?
