Hot or Not: MaxFactor Excess Volume Mascara

I wanted to find a way to post regular reviews on my YouTube channel so I have come up with Hot Or Not. Today I’ll be talking about the new Max Factor Excess Volume Mascara and Excess Intensity eyeliner.

The mascara is a two step application with Max Factor False lash effect on one end and a more standard brush on the other with a product of thinner constancy. The result is thick, long lashes but the finish is actually quite glossy, almost wet. The eyeliner is one which you roll us but is very soft and perfect for the water line as it doesn’t move and lasts.

Both products are good but the stand out product has to be the eyeliner which is perfect, super soft, easy to use and last most of the day. Although the mascara is also great and holds a curl I usually like my lashes to look less glossy, it’s also a little hard to remove I needed a few eye makeup removers to get through it.

Overall Max Factor Excess Volume Mascara gets a 6.5/10 and the eyeliner gets a 7.5/10.

Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara Review launches in January 2014 and will retail for £12.99. For more info check out the video.

Need to try that eyeliner, I am really loving the duo wand concept that brands are coming out with now :p x

I'm not sure about the fuss of two step mascaras, especially if the finish is quite wet as well… hmmm, might pass on this one, even though I usually quite like Max Factor mascaras. Xx

Ahh I've been looking for a new drug store eye liner!
And I think this could be the one for me!
Not a fan of Max Factor mascaras as they never hold their curl on me though 🙁

This seems lovely and I actually never heard of an eyeliner and mascara in one so I would have to try this now or find one like it.

That eyeliner looks very interesting. Not sure about the mascara, though. If it requires two steps, it should give better results.

£12.99 seems quite a lot for a 'drugstore' mascara. If I was going to pay that much, I'd rather pay slightly more and get my favourite which is Benefit's they're real (which I've bought for around £16-17 with discount codes. The eyeliner sounds good though, eyeliner in my waterline never seems to last very well so it might be worth a try x
