Products I took away with me & Loved

When I go away I like to pack a mixture of old favourites and products I have never tried, I realise this is a little risky but it forces you to try products you never have before. These five products are a mixture of old favourites and new found loves…

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh £43.33
I’ve had this perfume for a few years now and I am so glad I decided to take it away with me. The smell reminds me of summer like not much else can and it’s just the perfect light scent for a hot summers day.

Weleda Skin Food £9.95
I really needed my tan to last 5 days with absolutely no uneven fading which is why I committed to this morning and evening. It hydrated my skin like nothing else could and although it is a little heavy it left my skin looking great all day!

Halo Eye Makeup Remover Pads £1.50
I’m not going to start using these on a day-to-day basis but for travelling these are absolutely essential. I didn’t want to take my eye makeup remover and cotton pads as the bottle is big and I didn’t want to run the risk of it spilling. These pre-soaked pads worked perfectly and removed all my eye makeup quickly and efficiently although they took up minimal space in my wash bag.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Nourishing Lip Balm £16.80
This is a new product which I really enjoyed using to keep my lips soft and moisturised, I also didn’t back a cuticle oil so it doubled up as that!

Rodial Instaglam Skin Tint in Medium £45
I threw this in last minute and wasn’t sure I would get much use out of it but as the weather was so warm I decided to switch a base that was a little lighter than a foundation. It applies beautifully with the fingers and offered a good enough coverage without seeing too heavy on the skin. It worked beautifully on my dry skin and lasted most of the day with a light powdering. Only downside is it’s a rather expensive £45.

I really want to try the Elizabeth Arden lip balm! Also, I've been wanting to purchase the Marc Jacobs fragrance but am torn between purchasing it in the full sized or a rollerball size. I love the full size one for the beautiful bottle but in reality, I would use the rollerball size more often because I could just throw it in my bag. Ah, decisions, decisions… 🙂

The best thing about hols for me is trying out all my samples and minis – I never get around to it otherwise! I recently fell in love with the Ren Rosa Centafolia after using the mini on holiday 🙂

Such a good idea to take both old and new products with you. I tend to neglect trying new things out when Im at home but if you are away you have no choice. There are no alternatives for you to use!
