The Ones I Come Back To Every Summer

There are a few products that I couldn’t live without but which I tuck away during the winter ready for the spring and summer. Of course there are some that are simply used more in summer than in winter and even though through the snow and rain these products go unloved I go back to them every single year as soon as I see a hint of sunshine.

St Ives Apricot Scrub £4.29
I would say St Ives Apricot Scrub is a little harsh for your face and I only use it very occasionally (once a month, if that) however it’s my go-to body scrub as it’s inexpensive, comes in a nice size squeeze bottle and really helps remove all my dry skin and gets my skin ready for fake tan/sunshine. We always take a few bottles on holiday too for the whole family to use. They do also do a body version but I find this works even better!

The Body Shop Body Butter £13 (Currently £5!)
It’s not that I think this is a summer products it’s that I simply am too lazy to cream my entire body during the winter but when I need to have my legs and arms out this is the product I can always reply on.

Benefit Coralista Blush £23.50
This doesn’t see the light of day during the winter but during the summer it’s my most used blusher, theres something particularly beautiful about a coral, sheeny cheek in the summer and no blusher does it better.

Bourjois Healthy Mix £9.99
I have a bottle of this in 57 which I pull out every summer and mix with my usual 52 for the perfect post tan colour, I love that this foundation is so inexpensive that I can afford to do that. The finish is a beautiful dewy, fresh one ideal for summer and it’s super easy to apply with fingers or a brush.

Marc Jacobs Daisy From £47.50
I’ve been in love with the Marc Jacobs perfume range for such a long time now and come back to them every summer. This year I am dreaming of Marc Jacobs Honey which I can’t justify due to the amount of perfumes I already own.

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy £25.50
Every single year whilst packing for my month long holiday I take a look at all my YSL lipsticks and simply have to take one, they’re just too beautiful to not take at least one. The Volupte Sheer Candy’s offer the same lux packaging, summery scent but in a more wearable, comfortable finish for the hot weather. It adds the perfect pop of colour without looking like too much in the sun.

Pastel Polishes
This one seems a little vague compared to the rest but I love pastel polishes in the sunshine. They aren’t the same every single year but I’m currently loving Maybelline Up Town Blue and Essie Go Ginza.

What product do you go back to every summer?

Glad to hear you're aware of the harshness of St Ives, a beauty consultant in Boots actually once advised me NOT to buy their scrubs and she told me about the chemicals they use and how they can damage your skin, glad that you use them rarely 🙂 I also love daisy by marc jacobs – staple!! xx

I love the St Ives scrub! I hate when there aren't decent particles in a scrub because they feel like they aren't working, but this is the perfect balance of particles but not being too abrasive either!
