Over the weekend the new Model’s Own Colour Chrome Liquid Metals Polishes were causing quite a stir on Instagram so naturally I couldn’t wait to try them. There are ten polishes in the range (of which I have five) all in beautiful bottles and I think it’s the bottle that really got everyone talking as they are completely chrome and opaque making them actually quite hypnotic. Once the initial oh-ing and ah-ing had worn away I remember that I don’t actually like chrome nails and these probably wouldn’t be my cup of tea.
I tried them anyways as I wanted some swatches and I was right, they’re just not for me. That said the chrome nail trend is everywhere and the colours in the range are beautiful and unique. I’m extremely impressed by how opaque all the colours are, I needed little more than one coat for all the colours and they dried very quickly. However I did find that when I did try to apply a second coat, the first coat moved around a little more than polishes usually do making it go almost lumpy and I did also find them to be a little streaky as I can see the brush strokes.
If you love chrome nails that this is a nice collection to look into, especially at just £4.99. They will be available from 29th January (which is the Models Own 50% Off Sale start date) but there will be a limited number. They will also be available from Superdrugs stores on 11th February.

These look so lovely! I've always been a big fan of the uniqueness of Model's Own Polishes, my favourite has to their Beetlejuice collection, but these look equally beautiful! 🙂
