My Blogger Desk Essentials

Of course a bloggers desk varies from person to person but these are my personal must-haves which I think you too may find useful if you are a blogger or not.

Desk Planner
I love my desk planner. Absolutely love it. I draw extra lines on mine and turn it into a monthly planner rather than a weekly one but actually go through a few pages a week as I am always making changes. I use to print out planners online and that’s a great option if you don’t want to spend any extra money (eg here and here) but I find these to be a little neater and aren’t too expensive either. I get mine from Paperchase and always opt for the ones with just days and no months or dates but Not On The High Street have great ones too.

Diary
My diary doesn’t strictly live on my desk but when I am home it’s usually there and I find it absolutely essential to keeping me organised. I like to keep all important dates in it and this year I chose one which has a page a day meaning I can write more in-depth daily plans.

Notebook
I like to keep it old school and although I often use the notes section on my phone and write lists on Google Keep I still think nothing beats a good old pen and paper. I love that I can keep them and go back to them in a few years time to see what I was up to and get inspiration. I get a new notebook every year and although I use to get I now buy the Ryman’s version which is just as good but far more affordable.

Baby Wipes/ Detol Wipes
Being a beauty blogger I am always photographing products and swatching them on my hands meaning that I need to make sure that the product is clean, as is my desk/background and I am always using wipes to remove swatches from the back of my hand.

Sharpies/Pens
I’ve always had a soft spot for and pens; and I am far more picky that I’d like to admit. A good brings me a world of joys almost as much as a lipstick would and I love the Uniball Rollerball Needle black pens. So much love.

Not essential but a nice extra, I love the little tick boxes and they really do give me great satisfaction- alternatively I could just use a scrap piece of paper or my notebook but any excuse for more stationary!

A few books and magazines
Great for inspiration for both photographs and content.

A lamp
I hate doing work in the dark so a lamp is essential. Unfortunately my desk is always dark as it’s in the corner of my room but even if it wasn’t I think I would always need a little extra light and a nice lamp. Mines is from comes in a variety of colours and .

It's funny to me that bloggers seem the most tech-savvy but tend to love good old-fashioned pen & paper more than anyone! Love your desk setup!

I always have a pack of post-it notes, and when I get an idea I write it down and stick it on my wall. These also come in handy when boredom takes me over and I do a little doodle and stick it there too!

What a great post. My desk is small so I need to sort it out and find some space in my dorm room to put my printer as it is taking way too much room up 🙂

I really need to get a desk planner! I have the diary too and it's so handy that it's the full page, it means I can go into a lot more detail on what I need to do x

Such a good idea to have desk organisation! My desk is such a mess, but because I live at home it's hard for me to use the desk as just a desk. Great items to have on the desk though 🙂 xx

Your desk looks so pretty and perfect! It's such a good idea to keep yourself organised, I probably should but I find going with the flow suits me better (or I just can't be bothered to be organised, haha).

Lovely post! I am so picky with my pens as well, haha! I only use two kinds and I am so specific about them. If my husband borrows one I am always like "don't forget return it and don't you dare chew on the lid" haha! I would love to see your desk beauty essentials! I cannot live without my planner and notebook. I would love to get a big calendar like you have 🙂
