Valentine’s Gift Guide

Valentine’s day is just days away now and wether you are treating yourself, a friend/family member or your other half I thought I would give you the low down on some of my favourite items.

Since most of you are probably here for the beauty, it seems like the best place to start. If you’re keeping it traditional then a red nail is key and the delivers that with a bit of luxury too. If you’re not really into flowers but love the smell of rose then you’ll love the which I simply can’t get enough of! The smells heavenly, leaves skin perfectly hydrated and is perfect for a pamper evening. The Jurlique Love Balm is a handbag essential especially in this weather!

The is the most opt Valentine’s makeup product I have seen this year and is perfect for faking a bronzed glow.

If you simply want a bit of luxury and aren’t so worried about the Valentine’s theme than a is the way to go, I particularly love the as I am sure any woman would love the shade with their Valentine’s name. Another beautiful gift from a brand I’m currently in love with is the , particularly great if you are getting off anywhere.

If you happen to be on a tighter budget Invisibobble Love Heart collection make a very cute gift for a friend, I love the cute quotes on the boxes! The Avon Ultra Colour Indulgence lipstick in Pink Blossom is the perfect shade if you want to break away from traditional red lipsticks. Keep lips kissably soft with Lush’s The Kiss Lip scrub and don’t forget to check out the rest of their Valentines Collection.

Probably my favourite as it also helps raise money for Great Ormond Street Hosptal is Clinique’s Kiss It Better Set which includes a Chubby Stick, a mini Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief and a special edition purse. Best of 50% of it’s £20 retail price goes directly to the Charity to help fund research into the causes and treatment of cancer in children.

If you’re after a beautiful bunch of roses then opt for the Apple Yard Flowers, I received a bunch late last year and they were truly beautiful and lasted really well. They also deliver UK wide making them a great option if you aren’t lucky enough to be spending V-day with your loved on.

If your loved one is always late (or just loves watches) then I think a watch is the perfect gift, this Sekonda one is perfect for spring and summer but here is a great range of affordable ones from House of Watches. Another favourite of mine is jewellery; these Hazel & Kent earrings which are dainty but beautiful and you can go wrong with a classic Pandora bracelet, plus it will mean you can buy a charm next Valentines Day.

Although I haven’t started burning it yet I already know that the Diptyque Insolite Candle will end up being one of my all time favourites; it’s exclusive to Liberty’s and is has an elegant warm and spicy scent. Another scent I am loving are the new DKNY Delicious Delights range (launch 15th Feb), I was so surprised but just how perfect all three are and I haven’t stopped wearing them!

My favourite less traditional gift is the Hemsley Slice which is pretty much the fanciest lunchbox I have ever seen! It’s available in five colours and is part of the Slice of Life Campaign which mixes healthy sandwiches with style and is a great alternative to gifting a handbag.

Finally a beautiful pair of designer sunglasses, it can be a tricky item to pick and get right but it would be my favourite luxury gift pick. If you’re looking for a pair of cat-eyed sunglasses these Dolce & Gabbana pair are both fun and elegant but I’ll share some photos of them soon!

What are your plans for Valentines Day?

Great post! I love all of your gift ideas. My favorites would have to be the Tom Ford Lips and Boys lipsticks and the Diptyque candle. You can never go wrong with a Diptyque candle. My bf just bought me the Rosafolia one, and it is heavenly. Thank you for the lovely post.
