Lipstick Launches

There have been lots of new lipstick launches over the last few weeks and I thought I would roll all the most exciting ones into one blog post as well as share my thoughts. There’s a nice range of glossy and sheer to matte and bold from a range of price points too.
Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colours, £21
Although an already existing and well loved range, Laura Mercier is adding seven new shades to the collection. All seven shades seem to be very wearable and from the three I have seem to also be very creamy although I do find them a little drying if I wear them too often.
Collection Field Day, £2.99 (Launch 11th March in Superdrugs, 18th March in Boots)
The affordable new spring collection from Collection features three new lipsticks all perfect for spring, there are two mattes: Pink Rose and Tulip and a glossy one in Fuchsia. I think these are a great option if you are looking for something that’s on trend but affordable, they are buildable and surprisingly comfortable to wear. I’m not a huge fan of the white packaging although it does fit perfectly with the spring theme.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine, £25
The original Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipsticks are some of my favourite on the market so I was very excited to dig into the new Shine Sculpting lipsticks which are sheerer and a little glossier than the original. The range is made up of sixteen shades, packaged in a beautiful streamline, luxurious case. The colours are actually less sheer than I expected and you can actually get a really beautiful opaque covering whilst still remaining glossy and effortless. Perfect for the spring and summer months as the shades are all very bright and fun.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Moisturising Lipstick Matte, £21
These are probably the lipsticks I was most excited about and I’ll be doing a full post soon. Beautiful gold packaging aside I love the colours; Coral Crush is the perfect summer coral and Mude the perfect everyday colour. Although they are matte they apply beautifully and aren’t at all drying making matte lips actually very wearable.

Zoeva luxe cream lipstick, £6.75
I first saw these at LFW last month and am really impressed by the pigmentation and how creamy they are. There are six shades in this range and since mine are inspired by A/W15 they are quite dark and vampy although the other three are beautiful pink shades. The packaging is beautiful gun metal and retail for a very affordable £6.75

Burberry Kisses, £22.50
A big launch this month is the new Burberry Kisses range made up of 28 lipstick, they are designed to be buildable so you can achieve a sheer wash or a opaque colour depending on the amount you apply and the shade range is quite impressive too. As with all Burberry items, it looks beautiful and I love the embossed print on the bullet of the lipstick.

Can’t wait to get lots of wear out of these lipsticks and although I have been opting for red or nude lipsticks recently I think it’s time to try out the corals and pinks.
