5 things to do this weekend to help improve your blog

1. Start using Pinterest
Pinterest is a great tool for any blogger, I love to use to save inspiration to but it can also be used to drive traffic to your blog. There are a few tutorials on how to do so online but it does take time and commitment before you start seeing a increase in traffic. A great place to start is by changing over to a Business Pinterest account which is super easy and free to do, it just involve you adding  a little code to your blog to verify the account.

2. Plan your blog posts
Knowing what you are writing over the next few weeks really helps you post more regularly and often helps you produce better content as you aren’t left writing about something for the sake of simply getting a blog post up. If you’re stuck for ideas have a look here, where I share lots of my own ideas.

3. Comment on other peoples work
Whether it is on Instagram, YouTube or blogs, leaving helpful comments on other peoples posts can really help form a relationship but also get your name out there and seen by other commenters.

4. Start scheduling your tweets
We don’t always have time to tweet and share links which is why it’s great to be able schedule them instead in order to keep people up to date. Take a few minutes out of your day to schedule five tweets using such tools as Buffer or Hootsuite

5. Learn how to use your camera
This is one I should really spend some time doing this week as I’m still not happy with my photos , Media Marmalade has a great blog post which I will be re-reading over the weekend.

I really struggle gaining any sort of followship/traffic from Pinterest, so I literally just use it to save inspiration now. It's so time consuming, plus I'm not even sure how it works with people finding what you have pinned… Haha oops! Great post 🙂 x

I really do need to just sit down and play with my camera for a bit as I'm sure it's capable of more than what I do with it! xx

Great idea for a post! I've used Pinterest for a while now and haven't managed to build up many followers on it so might have to have a look into the business account that you mentioned. Xo

I love commenting on other people's blog posts. This was a great post, I have been meaning to get into Pinterest for some time, but I tend to just stick to pinning white and copper interiors x
