What’s in my shower- Holiday Edition

I haven’t shared my shower routine in quite a while and since I am away and my shower is a little different to what it looks like at home I thought I would share it today. Typically when I am at home in London I like to have a bath daily but when on holiday, a shower is quick and easy plus I feel it prolongs my tan more than a hot bath.

To keep my hair in good condition, I have been using Schwarzkopf Sun Protect Shampoo that has Monoi Oil. It gently moistures and cleanses my hair, keeps it in good condition and maintains my colour too. I’ve been skipping conditioner and instead been using a mask daily; the Bed Head Colour Goddess Mask smells incredible and has been leaving my hair smelling like caramel and feeling really silky, I do think it’s designed more for brightly coloured hair but has been working wonders on my bleached ends too.

I’m not too fussy about shower gel and usually end up using the same one as the rest of the family. We’re currently using the Gilchrist & Soames Shower Gel which although doesn’t have the most summery scent, it does smell really luxurious and relaxing. I’ve been teaming it with my exfoliating glove to keep my tan and skin looking it’s best.

Although I use the shower gel on most of my body, I find the femfresh Everyday Care Daily Gel Wash works best on more intimate and delicate skin as it has a lower pH balance. I find that spending days in wet bikinis isn’t always the best for my skin so I really need something that will care for it and keep it feeling fresh all day long which femfresh Everyday Care Daily Gel does. I also usually have the Every Day Care Freshening & Soothing Cloths in my beach bag if I feel the need to use them throughout the day.

I’ve then been making a special effort to finish every shower with some moisturiser or aftersun, Vichy SOS balm is my favourite but I’ve really been enjoying the Clarins ones too.

Getting a sun protect shampoo and using a mask instead of conditioner, in hindsight, sounds like a really good idea! I will have to remember that for next summer! x

Monoi Oil is supposed to be exceptionally good for the hair! I visited a 5 star hotel and they had Gilchrist & Soames products in all of the rooms. It is so good! Great products!
