Things Beauty Hoarders Tell Themselves

1. One day I might need that black lipstick
2. 400 nail polishes is a normal collection
3. But it’s sooooo pretty!
4. I need to keep the collection together, I can’t get rid of two lipsticks.
5. I want to find a way to make it work
6. I need options
7. It was limited edition, I’ll never be able to replace it.
8. They’re similar but they’re not the same
9. I’m a collector and that’s part of my collection
10. One is my pale foundation, the other is my normal foundation, my tanned foundation, my fake tanned foundation, my really fake tanned foundation and I can use that one for contouring.

And by beauty hoarders I clearly mean myself… but I’m trying to get better!

I have that exact EstΓ©e Lauder still unused and in its box too, it's just too pretty to ever use!

hahaha I love this post. This sounds like the sort of nonsense I tell myself. "This red is not the same as that, it is slightly…. more red."

The phrase "Limited Edition" just gets ya, doesn't it?

I remember feeling so gutted when I couldn't get my hands on the Archie Collection when in fact, I didn't really love any of the pieces in it. But boy, was I upset for the entire week then! Hahaha.

Ummm excuse me but were you reading my mind?! Haha not only do I say all these (except for the last because I am forever pale, regardless of the season) but I say these about everything… clothes especially. "No Bri, you should not still have your high school clothes at 26" πŸ˜‰ Haha. One my worsts though is it's so expensive or rare so you should save it… until it goes bad and you wasted it! πŸ™‚

I am definitely guilty of the "They are similar, but not the same" mindset. I mean, how many pink lipsticks does one need? All of them, obviously!

I literally say "they're similar but not the same" every single time I'm at ulta/sephora/any drugstore! All of these made me laugh lots and know I'm in great company

    • 12th November 2015 / 6:55 pm

Go to Amazon, search "acrylic lipstick holder." There are over a dozen to choose from.

Ha, I'm guilty of all of them! I especially tend to have a problem when it comes to limited editions – I want them all, but I just can't seem to get myself to use them πŸ˜›
