My Favourite Foundation which I can’t use

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint

The YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint has got to be one of my top three foundations; I love the way it wears, the finish it has and the look/feel of it on the skin.

YSL are relaunching a new and improved Touche Eclat Le Teint on the 1st February and I am happy to report that it’s possibly even better than the original Touche Eclat foundation. It’s really beautiful on the skin, I hate heavy foundations so this is the perfect light weight foundation with a natural slightly dewy finish.

However I do have a slight problem.

Sadly just like MAC and Bourjois there is something in this foundation that breaks me out and causes quite painful acne so I have to resist temptation and stay away from this foundation. However I still wanted to let you all know how amazing it is as I know I know not everyone has the same reaction as me and it’s a great one to consider for anyone that doesn’t have sensitive skin.

The title of this post might be a little confusing, YSL Touche Eclat is one of my all time favourite foundations, probably top 3 but it breaks me out so I have to resist the temptation to go near it.

This might seem like a strange post since it does break me out but I think it’s a great foundation especially for someone whose skin isn’t as sensitive as mine and I wouldn’t want people to miss out just because it breaks me out as I know lots of girls who haven’t had any problems with this foundation.

I will admit that I do occasionally still reach for this but the repercussions is usually not worth it. When I do I insure I use a primer to create a barrier between my skin and the foundation as well as cleansing really well as soon as I get home. I love this foundation so much that occasionally I just can’t help myself. If you’re a little unsure if you’ll breakout then I would highly recommend you pop into store and ask for a sample or just ask them to apply it and wear it for the day before purchasing.

There are 22 shades so they do have most skin tones covered and I have been wearing B30.

Release date: 1st Feb 2016

It’s such a shame it breaks you out, I’m so tempted to try it because it does sound lovely, but I don’t know if can risk a bad breakout when my skin is only just clearing up! x

If you’ve tried MAC or Bourjois and had no problems I’d say you’d be fine. Might even be worth trying on a small section of your face if you’re unsure xx

Such a shame this breaks you out, I’ve not tried the touch eclat foundation before and this one is on my list of foundations to try. Looks so pretty and sounds like exactly what I need,

I’m quite prone to acne myself so I appreciate your honesty in this post! But like you said, some people might really get on with it (lucky them)! x

I haven’t tried any Bourjois foundations but I find the same with MAC foundations. Thankfully I don’t personally own any myself, I’ve only had them applied on set, but within a few hours I always start breaking out badly over my chin. Not really what you want when you’re working in front of a camera x
