Bring it on! Adding Colour to your Wardrobe

Once upon a time I use to love an all black outfit but now days I do like wearing a little more colour, it’s fun and brightens up London’s grey days. This blog post is in collaboration with Debenhams who have put together a range of pieces to help bring us out of the winter blues, bring colour back into our wardrobes and make us feel more confident this year! I really love both looks; they’re both fab for work, a party or even the weekend if you change the heels for a nice loafer.

I love a good statement suit, I just think they’re so chic and super versatile! I think red is a good colour to get your first statement suit in as it suits most people and since it’s bright red it’s pretty hard to miss! I teamed mine with a black jumper, black heels and a black bag as I wanted to keep it still very wearable but I love the little heart on these Faith heels, they’re the absolute cutest! If you work in a office that you could wear a red suit than I really encourage you do, I feel so sassy in mine and its a great way to inject a little excitement into your workwear wardrobe which can often lie quite dull and repetitive! The best part about a coloured suit is you can wear it together a suit or wear the jacket and trousers separately. I’ve been sometimes teaming my blazer with jeans, converse and a slogan tee but I’m sure I’ll be wearing my trousers separately too, especially for any smart-casual events I have coming up.

For my second look I spotted this black and white animal print shirt which I fell in love with! I feel like animal print almost counts as a neutral colour as it goes with everything, especially this one since it’s black & white. I love mixing patterns with colour so I teamed it with these Principles Royal blue tapered trousers and a pair of nude heels which I think are going to quickly become my most worn heels. You could so easily swap these trousers for the red ones, for an equally great and colourful look or even swap them for a pair of ribbed jeans.

Both the suit and the royal blue blue trousers work perfectly no matter what the season is. You could throw a coat over the top of both for cold winter days or swap the long sleeves for a more summery top when the weather warms up.
