My Post-Summer Fake Tanning Routine

Sponsored post

I hope you’ve all had a lovely summer and are enjoying the start of autumn.

I get lots of questions on fake tan and in all honestly I don’t fake tan a lot during the summer as I typically tan really easily but from September until May I absolutely love fake tan. It’s the one thing that can completely change my mood and it gives me lots of confidence. Now that my real tan is fading I’ve been reaching for the Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam for a bit of a bronzey top-up.

The Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam is great if you’re a beginner or a fake tan veteran, it’s the best smelling tan I think I’ve ever used (it smells of tropical Balinese mango and guava) , it has a really lovely guide colour and isn’t drying on the skin. It’s formulated with no sulphates, toxins, silicones or paragons unlike most other fake tans and is formulated with 100% natural DHA- plus it’s cruelty free and vegan! It comes in three different shades; medium, dark and ultra dark all of which neutralise redness and create a smoothing effect on the skin. I’ve currently been opting for medium but over the next few weeks I’m sure I’ll be moving onto the dark. You can keep it on for as little as two hours or for a darker colour I sometimes keep mine on overnight. I love that unlike may other fake tans I have used, this one is really flexible and I can keep it on for just a few hours if I’m low on time but still need a bit of a glow.

When I’m fake tanning I like to always ensure I have exfoliated my skin beforehand so that the tan last evenly as long as possible. I have been using the Coco & Eve mitt (sold separately) to apply the tan which is really good quality, hypoallergenic soft velvet mitt and makes application very easy. There’s also a vegan kabuki brush for harder to tan areas such as hands and toes but it’s also great if you want to do a little fake tan contouring. It’s also important to make sure you moisturise and exfoliate lightly after the second day so that the fake tan fades evenly, which I must admit that Coco & Eve has done! Overall, I’m loving the Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam, which is available on the Coco & Eve website.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, I’d love to hear all your fake tanning tips in the comments!
