If there is one thing that instantly lifts my mood it’s fake tan. I know that may sound sad but there is something about it that gives me more confidence and I think I just look better tanned. Recently I have been trying to be tanned as much as possible and have been reaching for a new treat from Garnier as well as a Garnier product I have been using for about a year.

There is a self-tanning dry body mist as well as a face mist and a tanning mousse with golden shimmer. I would say these products are great for a beginner especially as it is streak free. The dry face mist and body mist are the first products I ever used on my face and I applied it all over my face as well as chest and front of shoulders. I do occasionally use it one my arms and legs but usually only if I am feeling lazy as I feel sprays are better suited to smaller areas, especially if you are after a dark colour. It’s super fine and spreads evenly all over the face. It doesn’t have a guide colour which may be a little scary but I can honestly say I haven’t had any problems, it dries quickly and develops after a couple of hours. I like to apply it before I go to sleep and then I wake up with a great golden glow. I do apply a few coats but that is completely a personal decision, I like being quite dark.

One my body I usually use a mousse or lotion but would recommend starting with a mousse as they have a good guide colour. I use the self-tanning mousse all over my body and even occasionally on my face (I don’t have sensitive skin but be careful if you do). I use the Garnier mitt which I really like, it applies evenly and smoothly. It does have some golden shimmer but one I wash off the guide colour in the morning it is barely noticeable. The colour was quite dark, long-lasting and quite natural looking, it lasted about four days which was quite good.

Neither product has a self-tan scent which is really nice. I’d recommend exfoliating well before application and keeping the tan hydrating with a good moisturiser.

I have included a little video review, I am sorry about the quality I’m not sure what happened!

Have you tried the Garnier Fake Tan range?
