I’ve been after a perfect pair of boots for a while. I wanted a black leather pair which were high, pointy and able to take any outfit and really dress it up.

I’d seen a few high-end ones but I didn’t want to spend too much and thought the sale was the perfect time to buy a pair. I spotted these on the Dune website for £140 down from £175 which I found was pretty reasonable for a pair of all leather boots. As I ordered them online I was unsure I would love them just as much in real life but I’m happy to say I do!

They’re high but not too high, comfortable (considering) and the quality is fab- I think I’ll be wearing them all winter! I have been trying to invest in slightly more expensive but high quality items which will last me and I think this style is so timeless a versatile. I can team them with jeans and a t-shirt or dress it up with a dress and black tights.

As always I teamed them with a monochrome outfit, a staple black coat, black Topshop Leigh jeans and an old shirt. Surprisingly it was sunny in London so I even needed a pair of sunglasses!

Every year I wait patiently for summer to roll around so that I can start wearing bright nails, but weirdly this year I’ve been more excited about the autumn nail shades and I am so happy to finally be wearing dark plum and navy on my nails.

I love the Soigne packaging, colours and the quality of their polishes. I don’t always love more traditional reds and pinks but this is just dark enough that I love it! Soigne in Seduisant is a really classic shade, which looks good with everything and has proved a real staple in my collection over the last weeks.

Although I’m not typically a huge glitter wearer all year round I start to get very attracted to them around this time of the year with bomb fire night, party season, Christmas and New Year all around the corner. I think I’ll do another post with my favourite glitters but at the moment I’ve been most drawn to Ciate in Putting On the Ritz which is a rose gold and gold glitter with uneven pieces of glitter, unlike any other glitter polish I have seen.

A great alternative to black is Topshop Wardrobe which is a slightly grey dark blue shade, Topshop polishes are really affordable and always have lovely colours. I love a good navy in autumn but this one is a little more unusual than most.

My favourite of all has been Nails Inc Midnight Merlot which is a dark, rich aubergine shade that I find looks very classic and also quite sexy. I’ve been wearing this almost non-stop as it applies really easily, dries quickly and more importantly wears really well. This is my absolute must have autumn/winter shade, it’s perfect!

Potentially not to every ones taste but I have been loving khaki nails recently, I think it’s fun but wearable. Essie Sew Psyched is a dusty green which applies as beautifully as all Essie polishes and is a great alternative to wine shades for autumn.

What are your favourite autumn nail polishes?

Since the weather in London has been surprisingly good for September, I have been resisting the temptation to be boring and put on a pair of jeans and instead have been opting for dresses.

I recently picked up this utility dress from Topshop which I really love, the colour is perfect and I do love a good shirt dress as I think they’re really versatile all year round. Since it was a day look and I had a lot of walking to do I just teamed the dress with a pair of leopard flat, Daniel Wellington watch, my usual handbag and sunglasses. It’s nothing fancy or groundbreaking but I really like it and I’m really enjoying the weather too!

The reason I was brave enough to bare my legs in autumn thanks to the Braun Silk-epil 5 wet & dry, as I usually hide my legs as soon as August ends. Braun asked me to take part in the 30 days of switch up your style campaign, which I agreed to as I love the idea of always being outfit ready all year round. I will admit that I usual start to show my legs a little less love in autumn and winter, which is awful as I am always left with only trouser or tights options.

I started epilating about a month ago now, I get my legs waxed in the summer but it can be very costly and time consuming all year round so I swapped over to epilating and have really been enjoying it. It’s not as painful as I thought it was and I even use it on really short hairs meaning I don’t have to wait too long between epilating sessions. The Silk-epil 5 Wet & Dry can be used in water or out which I love as I find using it in the shower can help open the pores in my skin and really reduce any sort of discomfort.

Adding the Braun Silk-epil 5 Wet & Dry to my routing has made my morning routine so much easier as I don’t have to worry about shaving my legs but even more exciting is that my legs are now always ready for a great skirt or a beautiful dress, even if I was feeling particularly lazy that morning!

How do you get your legs ready for your favourite dress/skirt?

Although I’ve been to Paris a few times I had never been to Le Palais Royal which I have seen in everyones Instagram photos. I’m not too sure what the building actually is but the middle square is a great place to relax, enjoy the sunshine and just people watch.

We were on our way out when we passed here and I went for this all black outfit; my Topshop Jamie Jeans which I am loving along with my Topshop Tie Strap Top that I find is a great go-to easy to wear but chic top. I teamed them with my strappy Primark heels which I adore but have kind of seen better days.

I’m sure this will end up being a reoccurring outfit this summer, even if it is all black.

I thought I would share another outfit from Paris, once again all Topshop as I done a fairly large haul just before I left and took everything with me.

I love every item in this outfit although I did have a bit of a nightmare with this top as I managed to get deodorant stains all over it one morning and only realised once I was out exploring, meaning I was forced to wear my jacket all day in the heat. I’m in love with cami’s at the moment and although the Topshop ones aren’t the cheapest they are affordable and nice layered fabric, better quality than some of my cheaper ones. I’m really tempted to go back and pick up a few other colours as I think it’s a  great summer stable. I do struggle a little with this sort of camisole’s and my bra situation which is why I picked up another Strapless Wonderbra from House of Fraser, I think it’s a total must have item, it’s the best strapless bra I’ve ever tried as it’s comfortable, offers support and gives a great shape too.

Onto my shorts, if you saw these in my haul I mentioned that I bought them in the tall section in Topshop making them a little bit longer which I love as I carry most my weight on my thighs so short shorts aren’t really my style. These are super cute as you can pair them with so many different items and I find the crochet detailing particularly cute.

Initially I didn’t think I would even like these sandals let alone love them but I do. I love them so much that I am considering buying a second identical pair just in case. I love the colour as it’s very flattering on tanned skin, they’re comfortable and I love the look of them. I’m trying not to wear them everyday in order to save them for my holiday but it’s proving quite tricky!

I’m currently doing a little online shopping for the next few months whilst all the sales are on, if you’re doing the same then check out VoucherBinUK for all sort of discount codes including some great Health & Beauty ones, I’m so tempted to put in a Philosophy order! I also picked up a few bits in stores today, have you been sale shopping yet?
