Just incase you still haven’t got your halloween costume sorted I thought I would share with you some of my favourite Halloween themes pieces. I’m actually still not sure what I am going to dress up as this year but I’m thinking a black cat (maybe Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch- get it?!).

I’d love to hear what you have planned this year in the comments and what you are thinking of dressing up as.

Excuse the funny poses and photoshopped devil horns. Today I thought I would share with you my most recent video, just in time for any of you that may be going to a halloween party this weekend.

I always try to find a balance between scary and still looking girly. I also try to avoid characters that aren’t scary such as Disney Princess for halloween but I rarely go for something that is actually just about the scare factor. I dressed up as a vampire last year but it’s undoubtedly my favourite thing to dress up as for halloween!

These two looks have exactly the same face and eyes, with a different lip, the biggest difference would be in what you wear with them. They’re both fairly easy to recreate and I really hope you like them. I personally adore the vampire lip, click on the image for a closer look.

I’m hoping to another halloween video soon so don’t forget to subscribe here

I love Christmas Yankee Candles but this is the first time I have tried a Halloween one from them. Witches’ Brew is one of three Halloween Candles released this year- there is also Candy Corn and Ghostly Treats.

Although Halloween themed, the scent isn’t at all scary. This candle is warm and relaxing with a spicy sweet scent of exotic patchouli. I have the medium size candle which I actually find to be a little large for a holiday candle. However the size smaller than ‘medium’ is a sampler which doesn’t come in a glass jar. I usually buy the small size Yankee Candles jars and find them to be the best, especially if it’s a scent which I haven’t previously tried and I’m not too sure if I will love it in the long run. That said, I love this scent and have been burning it non-stop since Friday but I doubt I will finish it any time soon.

The glass on these jars is also completely opaque which I find to be quite strange and I am interested to see how much light I will get from them once I burn it down a bit. I love a festive/holiday themed candle and this one has got me really excited for the Christmas ones!

What is your favourite Yankee Candle

If you haven’t noticed yet it’s a bit of a Halloween week on ALO this week and since it is October there are few things that I love more than hot baths.
This year Lush has a great range of Halloween products from soaps and bath bombs to fabulous gift sets for those of you that want more than just one halloween themed bath. My personal favourite has to be the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar– it’s just halloween perfection! It has quite a citrusy smell but remains still quite warming, it turns the bath water orange and adds a sparkle to the night. However I have heard that you do use this bubble bar in the evening you should be sure to be out of the bath by midnight before it turns back into a pumpkin.
Since I am all about the bubble, I also have a soft spot for the Wizard Bubble Bar which magically fills your bath with bubbles and essential oils. If you prefer Bath Bombs the Lord of Misrule is a great one to watch and to relax with. It has a spicy scent, a green exterior and a pink centre making it one of the more interesting seasonal offerings- I also love that it has popping candy inside.
If baths aren’t your thing (or if they are), try the Fairy Ring Soap which is made with fresh mushrooms! The mushrooms are believed to increase blood circulation, be antibacterial, whilst the Jasmine and Ylang Ylang Oil give it quite a sweet/floral scent.
And if Halloween simply isn’t for you, celebrate Guy Fawkes night instead with the Sparkler Bath Bomb. This smells heavenly and like roses, which surprised me as it is yellow. It spins around in the bath, fizzes and crackles whilst you watch your very own sparkling display.
The last of the Halloween product is Northern Lights which sadly smashed in the box (which is why all the other products are purple) but the online reviews are great despite it being quite a fragile one.
Have you tried any seasonal Lush Products recently?

With Halloween only 11 days away I thought I would share the first of my two Halloween nail posts. Although I don’t like nail art anywhere near as much as I once did, I still think it’s a must for both Halloween and Christmas.
A few years ago I shared my blood nails on Instagram and they’re still my favourite as there is simply no other time of the year where I would wear it. However if you are looking for something a little more fun I shared five different nail art ideas last year (here) and that I still love. Of course you don’t have to do it exactly the same- you can go for one of my designs on all five nails, pick just a few or mix and match some of your own with my ideas too.
If nail art is just a little too much, I am currently in love with these House of Holland (By Elegant Touch) Press-on nails which are just perfect! They’re really easy to apply, look incredible and from my experience last quite a while too. I’m hoping to wear them at some point this week and will share a photo of them next week along with some other halloween inspired nail colours.
What will you be wearing on your nails this Halloween?
