For those of you that follow me on Instagram or YouTube, you may have seen that I’m taking part in a super fun Halloween Campaign with Boots to create an affordable and easy Halloween look.

I went for Wednesday Addams as not only is the makeup easy but so is the outfit- plus I think it’s a good scary-ish Halloween outfit without being gruesome.

As part of the campaign, Boots threw a fabulous Halloween sleepover at an amazing haunted hotel with some of my favourite bloggers; Meg, Em and Becca who I celebrated with in spooktacular style.

We all recreated our Halloween makeup looks (check out the girls looks here: Em, Becca and Meg)

For mine, I used the same products from my YouTube video to create my Halloween look and it was super quick and easy. All the products are available at Boots and start at just £2.99, plus they have a ‘3 for 2’ mix and match across cosmetics and beauty accessories at the moment – BONUS. My current favourite Natural Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner is a must have I wore all evening and I also really fell in love with the black lips and the beautiful lashes!

Products used:
Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, Clinique High Impact Mascara, Eylure Enchanted Lashes, Maybelline Palette The Nudes, Collection Eyebrow Kit Brunette, Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit, NYX Professional Makeup Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation and NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Finishing Powder

I finished my Wednesday Addams look with Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Black Forest, which not only looks great for Halloween but also is a great autumn/winter pick.
Once we were all made up we ate lots of Halloween themed chocolates, made our way through endless popcorn and watched my favourite Halloween film- Hocus Pocus.

I had such a lovely time and a huge thanks to Boots for having me and for collaborating with me!

Have you got any plans for Halloween this year? Will you be trying out this Wednesday Addams look?

Liquid Lipsticks have been everywhere for the past few years but some of the most popular ones are really hard to get hold of in the UK and expensive (not to mention sometimes not worth the hype in my opinion). However the ones I am still reaching for are affordable, easy to get hold of and the perfect formula!

The Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets have been around for a little while but it’s really been over the last year that I have fallen for them. There are beautiful shades for every occasion; from nudes to reds, dark winter berry shades and vibrant summer pinks.

It’s worth pointing out that the word ‘velvet’ is a little confusing and I think it refers to the light, mousse-like feeling when initially applying the product but
once dry they are beautiful on-trend matte shades. They apply with a doe-foot applicator that is really easy to use and leave almost a stain that doesn’t move, feels comfortable and wears really well.

There are so many shades that I really love but Hot Pepper has to be the perfect all-year- round true red, which looks super chic teamed with any outfit although I plan to move onto Grand Cru, which is a dark red, once it starts to get a little colder. For summer I love Honey Mood as it’s a soft but fun peachy shade but the nudes in the range will always have a special place in my heart too- especially Nude-ist and Don’t Pink of it!

If you’re looking for an inexpensive but great quality lipsticks which last all day then I can’t recommend these enough! I love a matte finish but I need it to be comfortable and wearable which these really are, plus their size makes them the perfect handbag must-have.

Liquid lipsticks seem to be everywhere recently and I have really been enjoying trying them which is why I was super excited for the new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor to come through the door.

Sadly they’re only available to purchase in March so theres a little while to go still but I have been road testing them and wanted to share my thoughts.

Overall I really love them and I can’t wait to check out the other three colours from the seven colour range. The video below includes swatches, my thoughts and the overall wear throughout the day.

Available from March, RRP £8.99 at Boots, Superdrugs and Amazon

It’s January. Most of us spent too much on food and presents last month and therefore our bank balances aren’t looking as healthy as usual. It’s also cold and getting colder – I’m seriously starting to miss the sunshine and am patiently waiting for the summer months to get here.

When life gets tough(er) I like to call on all those lipstick quotes, you know ‘lipstick can’t solve all your problems, but it’s a good place to start’; ‘If you’re sad add more lipstick and attack’; or ‘Just put your favourite lipstick on and deal with it.’ Any of these cliche quotes will do. Basically I think lipstick goes a long way to making you feel better and help you deal with life.

If I’m having a really rough day then I always go for a bright red, not only does it portray a certain amount of confidence but it makes me feel that little bit more powerful and able to conquer my day. The drugstore does great affordable red’s. However, theres something extra special and bold about Topshop Rio Rio. As it’s an orange red, it’s a colour I would typically associate with summer, but the hint of blue makes it wearable all year round.

Another great powerful shade, which is a little more appropriate for winter, is Rimmel ‘The Only One Lipstick in Under My Spell.’ It’s a great vampy shade which actually isn’t too scary or dark making it very wearable- I also love the smell, which is a plus!

Then onto nudes, which I simply can’t get enough of recently…

Sleek Matte Me in Birthday suit has been my favourite lip product recently. It’s a matte liquid lipstick in a dusty rose shade, perfect for everyday especially as it last pretty much all day.

If you’re more of a traditional lipstick gal then the L’Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks are amazing! From the bright colours to the nudes, I love them all and there is a colour for everyone. Julianne’s Nude has been my Colour Riche of choice, it’s a great nudey pink which feels really nice on the lips.

If trying a new brand fills you with excitement, as it does for me, then I have been trying out the Color Studio Matt Lipsticks. Asia is a beautiful darker nude, especially for a medium skin tone looking for a MLBB shade, but the whole range has some great colours!
