I always find men the hardest to buy for and apart from ties, socks and the occasional watch, I really struggle to choose something. I’ve had a look around and since this is a beauty blog I thought I would share my favourite beauty items that any father would love wether the father of your children or your father.

A family favourite and a gift I have given to almost every man I know is the The Body Shop Maca Root Shaving Cream and Brush. It’s a great stable in any mans life; the brush is great quality, the shaving cream allows for a great shave (so I’ve heard) and the Maca Root range also comes with a face wash. If you’re looking for a fragrance on a budget than The Body White Musk is a great one to look into and I was surprised by just how great it smells with hints of lavender, geranium, musk and sandalwood.

If you are looking for a light summer fragrance that’s still a real man’s man scent than I would go for the John Varvatos Artisan Acqua although it has lots of floral and citrus scents it still remains quite traditionally masculine. Another great one is the Ermenegildo Zegna Uomo which I think is aimed at a slightly older more traditional man but which won’t break the bank as it’s only £18.50 currently in Boots.

If you are looking for skincare then the No7 Men Protect & Perfect Serum especially any man which is beginning to worry about ageing and hydrating. More of an investment but a great one if he’s a gym goer and is looking to really clean his skin to keep blemishes at bay is Clinique For Men Charcoal Wash and Cleansing Brush, it’s one of my favourite brushes, not too harsh but can really change your skin.

If you’re looking for the perfect fragrance for any young man then I would start with Hugo Boss Bottled Intense, Michael Kors For Men or Lacoste L.12.12 Jaune all three are perfect for any stylist, modern father.

The Thierry Mugler’s A* MEN gift set is perfect if you are looking for a little more than just a fragrance as it also comes with a hair & body shampoo but is a really interesting, unusual but beautiful fragrance.

I’ve got my father TABAC After Shave lotion as he doesn’t typically love beauty items but this is so classic and old school that  I think he’ll love it.

With Fathers day just 2 days away I thought I would post a quick guide to what presents would be perfect for any dad, whatever you price range!

MoleSkine Notebook, Hugo Boss Wallet, Liz Earle Men’s Set, River Island Brogues
iPad Light,  Orange Expresso Machine , Polo Ralph Lauren BeltTed Baker Shirt

If you’re looking for some more beauty bits L’Occitane have a great collection of perfumes, soaps and more.

What have you bought for your father? Or are you a last minute buyer like myself?

With the World Cup days away and Father’s Day on Sunday I thought it would be the perfect day to share Hugo Boss and footballer Jo Hart’s Tie Challenge for the launch of Unlimited the new Hugo Boss Limited Edition perfume.

My boyfriend got really excited when I handed him this Unlimited Perfume as he is a Hugo Boss scent fan and this one was no different. This scent is fairly classic but still modern with notes of mint, pineapple and citrus blended with masculine woody scents. It would make a perfect gift for any man in your life especially with fathers day around the corner.

To be in with a chance to win a signed bottle of Hugo Boss Unlimited, all you have to do is film your boyfriend/dad/brother/friend trying to beat Jo Heart’s 7 second tie and tag #successbeyondthegame on Instagram. I must admit Mike (the bf) didn’t quite manage 7 seconds but check it out here

Hugo Boss Unlimited is available for £41 for 50ml from Debenhams

With Fathers day in just two week and since I haven’t ever really spoken about mens beauty on here I thought today I would share my Top 10 Mens Beauty Items. Of course, I’ve had some help from my brother, boyfriend and father to come up with the Top 10. I always try to get my boyfriend to try lots of different products and am always really interested to find out what he likes and actually sticks too. This top 10 is very much a lazy option to beauty, the bare minimum which I think really works for men.

Liz Earle for Men Cleanse & Polish, £14.75
This is the only cleanser that has come about and stuck for longer than 2 days. It’s exactly the same as the womens cleanser just in a more man-friendly bottle. It’s not greasy at all, has a fairly neutral scent and comes with a muslin cloth to help remove everything.

Liz Earle for Men After-shaving Moisturiser, £18.25
Similarly to the Cleanser it’s just simple to use, fuss-free and leaves skin feeling very hydrated.

Biotherm Homme High Recharge Eye Shot, £18
I was surprised to hear my boyfriend particularly liked this, it’s designed to reduce the appearance of bags and dark circles. It has three cooling spheres which helps him to think it’s working and also de-puffs the eyes.

GlamGlow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment, £39.99
I love this for men and women but it’s great for any men with particularly congested skin from working out and a slightly neglected skin care regime.

The Body Shop For Men Maca Root Shave Cream, £8
After trying numerous Shaving Creams this is the one they have picked; it’s easy to use, affordable, a little goes a long way and isn’t drying at all. As a plus it smells nice and offers a really good shave as it foams up really well.

The Body Shop Shaving Brush, £7
A bit more traditional than I thought they would like but makes applying the shaving cream much easier, it has a solid wooden handle and if fairly soft even thought it’s not an animal hair product.

E45 Nourish & Restore Lotion, £4.85
This is some what of a stable but I can not even explain how many bottles my brother goes through. There is nothing fancy about it but it hydrates really well and when stealing my body creams the one criteria is that ‘it’s not fancy’. It’s so inexpensive that they really don’t have to worry about how much they apply but know that it will hydrate efficiently. Can be thrown in the gym bag without any worry and doesn’t have much of a scent.

Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo £2.99
This was some what of a shock but as most boys now have longer hair this is the perfect product if they are in a rush or after the gym, the Fresh is the most man-friendly though as it has a very unisex scent.

Bumble & Bumble Thickening Creme Contour £21.50
Although remaining quite light weight this helps smoothen hair but still keeps hair in place.

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray (Plus Surf Shampoo & Conditioner), £9.50
The Bumble and bumble Surf range is great to add texture to hair, particularly if  you are looking to add volume or keep your hair up. This one if very unisex and great for anyone looking for a little more texture.
