I’ve never spoken about Zoella’s range on here as I always felt it was aimed at a slightly younger audience but last week I had the chance to visit the #zoellaapartment which was filled with new launches and the new Zoella Lifestyle range. I was really surprised by the fact that it’s a bit more grown up and I would buy almost everything from the range, so I had to share some of the photos I took and share my thoughts.

I’m actually quite the Zoella fan and although I don’t watch all of her main channel videos, I think few YouTubers daily vlog as well as her and I do think her channel is growing up a little (as her, and her audience get older.) which was really reflected in the new products.

The apartment had lots on display including newness being added to the original Zoella Beauty range, which I really haven’t tried much from. Although I think the range is really pretty I find it to be still a little aimed at teens for me. That said the new Christmas Gingerbread Fizz Trio smell amazing, the scent isn’t too overpowering or even overly artificial and I think I’ll be buying these when they come out! If you’re a fan of the beauty range then you’ll be happy to see that she has added a new gingerbread hand cream, a mini fragrance set and some other great gifting products for Christmas as well as a hand sanitiser, bath soak and body cream to her permanent line. Another notable product launch for Christmas is the Pamper Hamper, at £50 it’s the priciest gift from the range but would blow any Zoella fan away (exclusive to Superdrug).

Then onto the new Home Fragrance, candles and defuser range…

She kept her Zoella scribble on the packaging for these but the rest of the packaging is so beautiful that I think it still looks grown up and I’d love to have these in my house. There are five scents; My Eden, Seaside Stroll, Lazy Days, Daisy Picking, Gingerbread Village and Homemade Treats. I’ve heard (may not be true) that Daisy Picking is Zoe’s Favourite but personally I love Lazy Days as it’s a really beautiful fresh scent. I was really surprised by the scents in the range and Gingerbread Village is the only one I really expected, the scents are very grown up and sophisticated, I’m actually not too sure if younger teens would love this range but I guess they’re not the ones usually buying candles and diffusers. Candles are £10 and diffusers £12, would recommend these wether you are a Zoella fan or not as a great affordable candle option.

The most exciting thing in my option though is the new Zoella Lifestyle range; it’s any bloggers dream with lots of marble and copper, I actually think it’s quite Kate Spade inspired but on a smaller budget. That said somethings are still quite obviously branded which will probably put some people off if they’re not huge fans (or simply not a huge fan of branding).

The lifestyle range retail from £5-14 and includes everything from pencils and storage pots to cushions and socks. Other than the keyring I love everything in the range especially the pencils, notebooks, storage pots and travel mug.

Very impressed by the new Zoella products and keep and eye out as I’m sure I’ll be featuring a few bits on my Instagram.

benefit cheek

benefit cheekathon paletteBefore it sells out (which it usually does) I wanted to tell you all about the new Benefit Cheekathon Blush Palette. Although I love Benefit I do think it’s quite a pricey brand but this new release is such good value, as it contains five full size Benefit box powders and a brush for £44.50, which is less than you would usually pay for just two Benefit Box Powders (£23.50 each). This palette is actually worth £117.50 so such a bargain and worth picking up before they sell out, it’s exclusive to House of Fraser but also available online.

I hope you’ll excuse the fact that I haven’t included swatches but I think this might be a product I keep in my collection untouched as I already have the individual box blushers and swatches are really easy to find online as they’re classic blushers/bronzers which have been around for a while.

If you don’t have any of the Benefit Cheek Powders then this is your chance to get five, I really do love them all and I am sure you won’t be disappointed! The only minor negative to this palette is the fact it’s a little too big too travel with (for short travel) but at the same time the perfect travel palette if you want to take quite a few blushers.

Available exclusively from House of Fraser, pick it up before it sells out!

nars space NK

Tomorrow (Feb 2nd) sees the launch of the very exciting collaboration between favourite beauty brands NARS and Space NK on the Modern Minimalist Beauty Box (there is a box but it didn’t fit in my suitcase and I really wanted to photograph the products)!

Created by NARS Make-up Ambassador Andrew Gallimore the box contains all the essentials to create the perfect, minimalist SS16 make-up look.

The most exciting product has to be the new Velvet Matte Skin Tint(worth £30) which is also exclusive to Space NK, best part of all is that you can chose the shade before purchasing the box. Also in the box are five mini products, perfect if you haven’t tried much Nars, if you’re looking for a few products for your hand bag or if you travel a lot.

Inside the box you’ll also find the mini Audacious Mascara in Black, a mini blush in cult classic Orgasm, a mini Gloss, a Black Eyeliner and a Satin Lip Pencil. For £60 this is a really great beauty box, with amazing mini’s and products which are must-haves for any beauty addicts.

I haven’t had a chance to try the foundation for myself but I’ll report back once I do, I’ve read great things about it!

clinique 2016 februaryI always get excited about Clinique new launches, actually new launches in general and Clinique seem to be on fire with lots of new products launching over the next few months.

Earlier this month they launched their new Sweet Pot Sugar Scrub + Lip Balm sets, which look adorable and were apparently inspired by macaroons. One half has a sugary exfoliator designed to buff away dryness and the other has a lip balm to soothe and moisturise lips. I’ve tried out the shades that I have (Pink Framboise and Orange Blossom) and I think they’re nice but nothing overly exciting; the scrub is fairly gentle and the balm is a nice everyday one as it doesn’t offer too much colour, I can barely tell the difference between the two shades once on the lips. I’d probably pass on these just because you could get a Lush Scrub (with lots more product) and a lip balm for cheaper but they are really cute and I can totally see their appeal.

Onto February 1st launches… (exclusively at Harrods, nationwide 18th March)

They will be adding two new lip products to their Pop range the Clinique Pop Glaze sheer Lip Colour + Primer and Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer. I’m not too sure what the ‘primer’ addition is all about but I can’t see them being any different because of the added ‘Primer’. The Sheer Lip Colours comes in six shades and are an effortless, sheerer version of their original colour pop lip colours. I’m not usually a huge fan of sheer lip colours but I think these are really comfortable on the lips and would all look beautiful in the summer. The Pop Lacquers come in 10 colours but I personally much prefer the nude shades as I find bolder colours in gloss are too high maintenance and can often look dated. I have the shade Nude Pop  and it’s a really beautiful colour but a little drier than I would like, application seems to pull a bit and there are better lip glosses out there.

My favourite from the new pop range are the Clinique Lid Pops, which are available in 8 shades. I think these are particularly perfect for anyone that doesn’t wear too much makeup or is a little scared of shadow as they aren’t overly pigmented which means that they are very easy to use. Most the colours are beautiful although they do have two silly blues which I think are fairly unwearable to an average makeup wearer. I wouldn’t say they’re for an eyeshadow expert as the pigmentation is on the sheer side (especially compared to MAC which are £2 cheaper!) but still really beautiful, the shade Cream Pop is a soft, pretty, everyday shade.

In April there will also be a New Chubby Nude Foundation Stick, which apparently offers a smooth, natural finish with the flexibility to build from sheer to moderate coverage throughout the day- available in 10 shades. I haven’t tried this so I can’t comment but just something else to look forward to! To coincide they’re also releasing a new Buff Brush designed to blend flawlessly.

If I get my hands on any more shades I’ll report back with swatches but until then I’ll be hoping that they announce some matte Colour Pops soon.

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint

The YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint has got to be one of my top three foundations; I love the way it wears, the finish it has and the look/feel of it on the skin.

YSL are relaunching a new and improved Touche Eclat Le Teint on the 1st February and I am happy to report that it’s possibly even better than the original Touche Eclat foundation. It’s really beautiful on the skin, I hate heavy foundations so this is the perfect light weight foundation with a natural slightly dewy finish.

However I do have a slight problem.

Sadly just like MAC and Bourjois there is something in this foundation that breaks me out and causes quite painful acne so I have to resist temptation and stay away from this foundation. However I still wanted to let you all know how amazing it is as I know I know not everyone has the same reaction as me and it’s a great one to consider for anyone that doesn’t have sensitive skin.

The title of this post might be a little confusing, YSL Touche Eclat is one of my all time favourite foundations, probably top 3 but it breaks me out so I have to resist the temptation to go near it.

This might seem like a strange post since it does break me out but I think it’s a great foundation especially for someone whose skin isn’t as sensitive as mine and I wouldn’t want people to miss out just because it breaks me out as I know lots of girls who haven’t had any problems with this foundation.

I will admit that I do occasionally still reach for this but the repercussions is usually not worth it. When I do I insure I use a primer to create a barrier between my skin and the foundation as well as cleansing really well as soon as I get home. I love this foundation so much that occasionally I just can’t help myself. If you’re a little unsure if you’ll breakout then I would highly recommend you pop into store and ask for a sample or just ask them to apply it and wear it for the day before purchasing.

There are 22 shades so they do have most skin tones covered and I have been wearing B30.

Release date: 1st Feb 2016
