It’s Christmas Eve tomorrow! Can you tell I’m excited?

I’ve finally completed my Christmas shopping but if you haven’t I thought I would share a very last minute gift guide. You’ll have to buy them in-store as they may not (probably won’t) arrive on time if ordered online.

I mentioned in my recent blog post that I think hand creams are a great present for almost everyone. This Yardley Hand Cream Collection comes with four different scents and is only £10, which is such a bargain!

Olay is such a popular brand in my family and I love this little Regenerist Gift set, which comes with an Olay Regenerist 3 Point Age-Defying Night Cream and two free trial sized samples of Olay Regenerist 3 Point Day Cream SPF30, but is the same price as the night cream alone!

Candles always do great at Christmas and I have quite a few to give away this year. The Origins Feel Good Candle is a really beautiful pine-scented festive candle but I also love the Rodial Mary Katrantzou  as it’s more of a fresh citrus scent.

For skincare lovers there’s the Liz Earle The Botanical Collection Nourishing Borage, which includes an Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask, Sheer Skin Tint SPF 15 and 2 Muslin Cloths. The set is designed to brighten and hydrate the skin, which sounds like exactly what I need post Christmas.

If you’re after a set of nail polishes, which will get you through every occasion, then this Deborah Lippmann Her Majesty Set is perfect. It has 10 nail polishes enriched with biotin; there are 8 colours as well as a base and top coat.

I love makeup gift sets but sometimes they can be a little hard to get right. However, I think Makeup Forever have done a great job with this Artistic Essentials Makeup Favourites set. Inside there is a primer, powder, mascara, eye pencil and gloss – all essentials for any makeup wearer’s makeup bag.

I love the sleep products from This Works and will be keeping this Sleep Together set for myself, but again, it’s great for anyone that loves their sleep or needs a little extra sleep.

I love Juicy Couture fragrances and the House of Juicy Couture Deluxe Minis Gift set is great for people that are always on the go as they’re a great travel size, or for someone that wants to try JC fragrances before committing to a bigger bottle. The packaging is beautiful and you don’t often see fragrance sets with a variety of scents.

I honestly love the Zoella range this year and think this Let’s Go Places set is extra special, especially for a teen girl. Inside is a shower gel, body cream and hand cream, which all smell great and come beautifully packaged in this mini suitcase.

All the Molton Brown gift sets are fab, I love this Body Gift set which smells of Ylang-ylang and has a body wash, fragrance, body polisher and body lotion. It’s a nice, luxurious gift for a couple or any Molton Brown fan – I would love to have this lining my bath tub.

Hope this helped with any last minute gifts you still need.

Merry Christmas!

The weather in London has suddenly gotten a lot colder, it was -1 this morning, far colder than I’d like and far colder than my skin would like. The change of season and the cold always send my skin into a mini panic but I have been replying on three products to get me through.

For days when I want something that will remove my makeup and not irritate my skin further, I have been relying on Olay 2-in-1 Hydration Balancing and Purifying Cleansing Refreshing Facewash. It’s not the fanciest, most luxurious cleanser but it’s a great one to have on hand for days when you need a no-fuss cleanser that won’t dry out the skin. I love the smell of this cleanser, it’s weirdly comforting and it’s the perfect affordable cleanser for any of you double cleansers.

Totally different end of the price spectrum but I have been using the Le Metier de Beaute Ultimate Hydrator. Quick disclaimer, it is expensive. I was sent this and there is no way I could afford this product but it is good and I have been using it every single day for the last three weeks. It’s a great booster over moisturiser to ensure skin is well hydrated, I’ve been using it morning and night and am starting to see a real improvement.

But my saving grace has truly been the Trilogy Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil, it’s one of my all time favourite oils and it always saves the day (or my skin). I’ve been reaching for it both morning and night, I’m more generous with it in the evening and use it sparingly during the day but my skin seems to love it and nothing hydrates my skin more. If you’re struggling with dry/dehydrate skin than I can’t recommend this oil more, it really helps keep my skin balanced and affordable.

What are your favourite autumn/winter skincare additions?

5 to try july

Olay Featherweight Moisturiser- I haven’t tried too much from Olay in the past but after a friend recommended this moisturiser and have been so pleasantly surprised! It’s light-weight but still very hydrating, even on my usually dehydrated skin, it has SPF15, is great under makeup and is really affordable. My mum has also started using the Olay Regenerist range and although she was initially very worried as she has very sensitive skin, she has been won over and converted over to Olay after many years of never switching creams!

L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks- I went to the blogger launch of these a few weeks back (join me on Snapchat for more event fun- alittleobsessed) and was initially very impressed by the price (currently just £5). They have released three new pure clay masks; a purity, a detox and a glow one which allow you to either use the one best suited to your skin or mix and match for people with a mixture of skin concerns. I’ve tried all three on different parts of my skin and really liked them, I woke up with far more brightened skin, which also felt well hydrated!

Benefit Brows– It’s taken me a little while to finally talk about the new Benefit Brow product properly as I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of new releases, but I’ve started to give them a go and there are some real gems! My favourites are Goof Proof Brow and Ka-Brow, I love how natural but defined you can get the eye with both of these products.

MAC Fix + An oldie which I have never tried but with so many rave reviews I just had to give it a go! I don’t think it’s an essential but it’s a great product to set makeup and help it look somewhat more natural, I think I’ll be using this all summer to help my makeup last and look better.

Batiste Stylist Hold Me Hairspray- Batiste Dry Shampoo will probably always be my favourite but I hadn’t tried much from their styling range. I have a few new bits but my favourite has to be the dry shampoo, it isn’t too sticky, offers the perfect amount of hold and the aerosol disperses the product really finely and evenly. I’ve been using it non-stop and it’s only £4.49!

What 5 products have you been loving recently?

I’m a little late letting you know about this offer as it goes end 20th October but head down to your local Superdrug’s and buy any P&G product from brands such as Max Factor, Olay, Gillette, Oral-B, Pantene, Pampers and many more to trigger a donation to Marie Curie. It’s the perfect time to stock up on mascara, shampoo and toothpaste! Alternatively simply upload a selfie to your Instagram or Twitter, tag @superdrug with #FeelSuper and that post will also trigger a donation from P&G. P&G aims to donate £200,000 to Marie Curie, which is double from last year so it’s in need of extra support! (Giveaway further down)

If you’ve bought all your P&G products but are still looking to do good through your love of beauty than there are a few other brands also getting in the giving spirit. If you’re a Clinique lover you probably use their Dramatically Different Moisturiser, this month they have a limited edition one in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month so it’s the perfect time to top up. They also have a limited edition Cheek Pop with the iconic ribbon symbol embossed, £2 from every £17 blusher is donated and the Cheek Pops are one of my favourite blushers!

A brand I recently discovered, Studio 10 is also raising a brow for cancer, when you buy their brow pencil they will donate one to Look Good Feel Better worth £22.

The P&G team were also kind enough to be offering one of my lucky readers the chance to win £50 worth of beauty products, which are photographed above (first photo). Giveaway ends 24th October, UK Only, follow Rafflecopter below.

Good Luck!

After going on holiday last month and
having had some beautiful weather in London recently I feel I have perfected my
summer routine and I am pretty happy with it. Hopefully I will show it in a
video soon (well the makeup at least) but for now here are a few of my
favourite bits

 Wild
About Beauty Mulit-purpose Tint Lynne
£16.50

This product was a bit of a surprise; it
looks nice in the pan but nothing special. Except it is the most perfect natural
colour for the apples of the cheeks with the right amount of sheen so you don’t
need a highlighter to achieve a perfect summer glow. Not as nice on the lips
but pretty much the only blusher I will use at the moment.
Piz
Buin Tan & Protect £17.99

(but look for a good
offer- they’re always about)
I have been quite lucky recently and
haven’t burnt in a good few years and although I do love a little sun in the
summer months I wouldn’t say I am a sun worshiper. I have however been loving
this Piz Buin Oil with SPF as it protects both UVA and UVB (which is SO
important) but I feel still helps me tan a little more. I usually use SPF15 but
go for slightly higher if you are quite pale or burn easily,
Venus
and Olay Razor
£5.49

(currently on offer)

I actually saw this
first on Super Savvy Me whilst
having a read of their beauty articles.
Not only do they offer great tips and advice but also some money off vouchers
so I printed the one for this razor so I could give it a go. I often get
irritated skin when shaving but it didn’t happen with this razor and I even
felt it didn’t dry them out!

La Roche Posay Anthelios AC SPF 30 £11.62
Face SPF is the most important I think and for me 30 is just about right. I wear it under my foundation and as it is a matte one I don’t get a shiny face- plus it is super affordable!
No7
WaterProof Mascara £12.50
(I think there are No7 money off vouchers
about)
The non-waterproof version of this mascara
is one of my favourites so I thought I would give this a go at the beach and
considering I love swimming in the sea it held up very well and will be going
on holiday with me again next month! I sometimes find that waterproof mascaras
do very little for my nails but this one add great volume!
What are you current summer favourites?
PS my camera lens has arrived… finally! Lots to share over the next few weeks, hopefully even a few videos so if you have any requests/ideas they’d be appreciated!
