If you follow me on Snapchat (alittleobsessed) then you might have seen that I spent Saturday at British Summer Time Festival with Sonic Chic, listening to Kendrick Lamar and Florence and the Machine whilst eating far too much junk food and sheltering from occasional rain storms.
It was such a great time and I thought I would share some of my festival essentials.
As I wore shorts some pre-festival leg prep was essential, I used a BIC disposable razor which I have been loving as they are super affordable and the Vita Liberata Body Blur, which is a game changer! Although I love going bare-legged my legs are less than perfect and this really helps them, it offers a little bit of a tan and coverage whilst still looking really natural, it’s basically a foundation for your legs. I was worried about wearing it all day and had no issues whatsoever, even when I spilt a drink down my legs and was caught in a downpour. I would avoid wearing it with a white dress as I think it might transfer a little but other than it is amazing! I also think I’ll be taking this on holiday with me as it’s great for the evening but washes off when I want to sit by the pool and catch a real tan.
In terms of makeup, I think that a festival is the perfect excuse to have some fun. There are so many festival gems around but I love the Lottie ones as they actually have some dainty very wearable ones. I ran out of time but temporary tattoos are also so much fun and there are so many incredible designs about now. However personally I still think glitter is really fun and Topshop probably does the most impressive, inexpensive one! I have another festival coming up next week and I don’t think I’ll be able to resist!
Onto handbag essentials…
Hand sanitizer, doesn’t need explaining, it’s essential! Tissue, in case the loos are all out or if like me you’re a little clumsy and spill your drink. Even in London sun cream is essential as it’s so important to stay safe in the sun, especially if you’re going to be outside all day! If it’s a hot day then a facial mist such as Avene Eau Thermale spray can be really refreshing and Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo is a great way to freshen your hair up throughout the day without getting the sort of buildup many other dry shampoos leave you with. I also like to pack a toothbrush with me and if you’re camping it is absolutely essential, I love the Sonic Chic one as it not only looks cute but it’s electric, making it the perfect toothbrush for festivals and traveling, I’ll be taking mine to Portugal at the end of the month.
Have you got any festival plans this summer? What are your festival essentials?
Looking outside today in London, it’s a little hard to believe that it’s actually spring but the truth is that summer is already around the corner and I am dreaming of sunshine and summer clothes. With summer and summer clothes, come bikini’s and taking care of unwanted body hair.
Hair removal can be expensive and time consuming so often my weapon of choice is a good razor. I’d highly recommend checking out the New Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Bikini and the Wilkinson Sword Quattro for Women Bikini Pearl and Papaya as they both make the whole process quick and easy. The Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Bikini has 5 blades which I find makes them much more comfortable to use whilst offering a close smooth finish.
I also love that both razors have a waterproof trimmer on one end which really allows you to get the exact results you want for all your grooming needs. It also worth noting that although this razor rounds like it can only be used on your bikini area it’s amazing on the legs (or anywhere else) too! They have a great sturdy handle and water activated serum which makes the whole thing so much easier!
I headed to the Jamie Aston Floristry School this week to hear more about the products and have a go at making my very own centre piece. I had some a fun time and although it’s not perfect I am pretty proud of my end result. We had a little demonstration from Jamie before making our own, we even made the structure ourselves! I used roses, tea rose, hydrangeas and some berries but skipped on the green foliage as I am all about the pinks!
I had a really fun time with Wilkinson Sword at Jamie Aston and went home very happy with my creation!
Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Bikini is available nationwide (RRP: £14.99)

Since the weather in London has been surprisingly good for September, I have been resisting the temptation to be boring and put on a pair of jeans and instead have been opting for dresses.
I recently picked up this utility dress from Topshop which I really love, the colour is perfect and I do love a good shirt dress as I think they’re really versatile all year round. Since it was a day look and I had a lot of walking to do I just teamed the dress with a pair of leopard flat, Daniel Wellington watch, my usual handbag and sunglasses. It’s nothing fancy or groundbreaking but I really like it and I’m really enjoying the weather too!
The reason I was brave enough to bare my legs in autumn thanks to the Braun Silk-epil 5 wet & dry, as I usually hide my legs as soon as August ends. Braun asked me to take part in the 30 days of switch up your style campaign, which I agreed to as I love the idea of always being outfit ready all year round. I will admit that I usual start to show my legs a little less love in autumn and winter, which is awful as I am always left with only trouser or tights options.
I started epilating about a month ago now, I get my legs waxed in the summer but it can be very costly and time consuming all year round so I swapped over to epilating and have really been enjoying it. It’s not as painful as I thought it was and I even use it on really short hairs meaning I don’t have to wait too long between epilating sessions. The Silk-epil 5 Wet & Dry can be used in water or out which I love as I find using it in the shower can help open the pores in my skin and really reduce any sort of discomfort.
Adding the Braun Silk-epil 5 Wet & Dry to my routing has made my morning routine so much easier as I don’t have to worry about shaving my legs but even more exciting is that my legs are now always ready for a great skirt or a beautiful dress, even if I was feeling particularly lazy that morning!

It seems it is the products I use the most that I never mention on my blog, these are the products I use (almost) every single day and couldn’t live without. They’re not overly exciting and I may change from brand to brand sometimes but I though I would share what I am currently using.
When it comes to deodorant I am not too fussy over which one I use as long as it smells okay, that said I do prefer a roll on and have been using Nivea Pearl & Beauty for a while. As the glass bottle isn’t very travel/handbag friendly I also use the Soft & Gentle Orange Blossom & Grapefruit Spray deodorant which lasts all day and smells great.
After washing my hair every morning I couldn’t live without my GHD blow dryer… I love it! I have been using it for years now, it has all the settings I need and is powerful, helping me dry my hair as quickly as possible. I’ve also been loving the Airmotion Hair Brush to untangle my hair both whilst wet and dry. My only other hair essential would be Batiste Dry Shampoo which I think I have been using to close to ten years, I have never been so loyal to anything!
When I don’t have time for a professional wax I usually just use a disposable razor and find the mens ones to be much better than the women’s. My favourite is the Gillette Mach 3 Disposable Razors as it never irritate my skin and I find it to be good quality for the price. For my eyebrow I adore the Tweezerman tweezer and can’t believe it has taken me so long to get a pair! I’ve also been using the SweetEase Face Waxing Kit for my upper lip as I find them to be easier to use then most at home wax strips.
The biggest essentials are, of course, a toothbrush and toothpaste- I have been using the Professional Whitening Toothpaste and matching toothbrush from White Wash Laboratories. Although I don’t think there is a huge difference between toothpaste and toothbrushes, I have actually really been enjoying these two and would say my teeth are looking a little whiter.
