Umberto Giannini Painted Lady
This is palette is nice because it has a variety of colours and includes both eyeshadows and lip glosses. I also think the slightly grungy but still glamours image on the from is stunning!

Surprisingly this is one of my favourite palettes, the colours are very wintry but still extremely wearable and it comes with eyeshadows, blushers and lipglosses. Its a perfect product to carry around in your purse and is great for someone less experienced in makeup as it comes with a step by step guide.

Later this month Sleek Makeup is releasing their Berry Collection which for the first time (I think) it comes boxed up and would make a perfect Christmas present.

In the set comes three products an eye kohl in Mossberry, Lipstick in Cranberry and blush in Fenerry. All the products are matte and are also full sizes. I have been trying out the products over the last couple of days to see what I think I love the colours as they are perfect for autumn and winter!

The blush is matte as I mentioned above and quite nice however I’m not really sure if it works for me. I think if you have darker skins this would be perfect but if you are paler apply it with a very light hand and it does add a very natural flush.

The eye kohl is my least favourite product in the range and I almost feel like Sleek didn’t quite think it through enough. The kohl is hard and difficult to use but my biggest problem is that it is too red for the eye area! It leaves my eyes looking sore and bruised instead they should have gone for a more plum colour in my opinion.

The product I was most excited about was undoubtedly the lipstick! I have been looking for a dark lipstick for a while and am still looking. I love the colour of this lipstick and I even like the finish but for me it it simply too drying and you can see all the dry patches on my lips, which is not attractive!

I really wanted to love this collection but it fell a little short. I loved the box idea especially as it is coming up to Christmas but very few people I know are daring enough to wear such dark colour. Also the products weren’t quite as great as I had hoped. This is probably my least positive Sleek review but it may simply have been because I wanted to much from the collection.

I really hope that they do bring out some more boxed collections! They are a great price though at just £9.99 from Superdrugs, available next week.

What do you think of the collection?

I have been blogging quite a bit about SleekMakeup but after the event they held a few weeks back I now have quite a few products and always get such a great response when I talk about any of their products.

Today I will be talking about their blush which retail for just £4.30 on their website for 8g, which is great value for money especially as many of them are very pigmented. The packaging is really nice and classic with a useful sized mirror on the inside.

I currently have 11 different shades ranging from pastel pinks and corals to bright reds and deep pinks.

Above Pan-Tao

This actually isn’t really a Coral blusher at all instead it is more of a browned orange and is completely matte.
Life’s a Peach
Gorgous pastel matte Peach and love the name, one of the more sheer blushers
Completely Matte orangey brown, this one is the one which scares me the most!
Metalic berry colour it is very pretty, smooth and pigmented.
Plum toned matte colour, perfect for darker skin tones.
Rose Gold
Often compared to Nars Orgasm blush it is a peachy pink with a golden sheen.
This is the one I reach for the most, easy to wear bright pink. Very pigmented and would look good on almost all skin tone.
At first I was so scared of this colour but in fact I love it! It is a pink with red/brown undertones with a golden sheen.
Pixie Pink
Bubblegum Pink with no shimmer, perfct everyday colour if applied with light hand.
Extrememly pigmented red blush (dupe for Nars Exihbit A, apparently) Doesn’t work with my pale skin.
Pao Tan
Very Orange peach

Sorry I am not too good a decribing colours but I hope it helped. I would say there is something in this range for every skintone and at just £4.30 you can afford to experiment.

Apply the blushers with a light hand as many are very pigmented, it is much easier to build them up lightly then to blend them away.
Some of the colours are limited edition but are all online on the Sleek website apart from Life’s a Peach.
SleekMakeup is also available from Superdrugs and Online.
