I’ll admit that I’m not really a huge fan of monthly beauty boxes: they get a little repetitive and not that exciting, but I was so impressed when the new Spring Tili Beauty Box by QVC came in! Since it is only seasonal, it seems to be a little more substantial with some great QVC brands, which I don’t regularly see in other beauty boxes.

Available online at QVCUK.com, this beauty box includes some of my favourite cult brands in very generous travel sizes. For £20 you get a carefully curated edit of skincare, makeup, nails, haircare, bath & body products which makes this box a must-have if you will be travelling at all this spring/summer.

Let’s delve deeper into the box….

Exclusive to QVC, there is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 75ml in Coconut Breeze: a pre-shampoo treatment that super conditions hair whilst adding shine & bounce. This Coconut Breeze edition is an exotic coconut scent which really remind me of holiday and which I’ll be packing on my next beach adventure.

There are two makeup offerings: the Mally Shadow Stick in Smoky Quartz and Dolly 10 Lip Velvet in Material Girl. Both brands are available on QVC but I actually haven’t ever tried anything from Dolly 10 before. I always get excited to try new brands and am really impressed by the Lip Velvet; I love the nudey colour, it has a mousse-like texture, which leaves the lips matte but still comfortable and not too harsh. I’ve tried a few things from Mally before and always been very impressed, this Shadow Stick is no different and it has already made it into my makeup bag.

If skincare is more your thing then this box won’t disappoint as there are some must-have cult classics. There is a 15ml Pixi Glow Tonic; an exfoliating toner that helps perfect skin tone and texture as well as the This Works In Transit Camera Close Up – one of my favourite multi-purpose products: it’s a mask, moisturizer and primer all-in-one. Finally for skincare, there is a small Decleor Smoothing Oil Serum in Mandarin – which is a super serum that draws on Mandarin Essential Oil’s abilities to protect cells from Radical Damage; cleanses and detoxifies – as well as the Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash to remove pollutants and impurities from the skin whilst maintaining the skins natural oils.

Everyone always needs bath and shower gels and there are two offerings in this box: a 50ml Molton Brown one and an Australian Body Care Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash.

To add a final splash of colour to your spring, there is the much-loved Essie Mint Candy Apple, the perfect crème mint shade.

Overall, I think this is an impressive box for any beauty junkie and I wasn’t disappointed in a single product – which has gotten particularly rare in beauty boxes. Since receiving this box, I have found myself reaching for its contents on a daily basis.

It’s Christmas Eve tomorrow! Can you tell I’m excited?

I’ve finally completed my Christmas shopping but if you haven’t I thought I would share a very last minute gift guide. You’ll have to buy them in-store as they may not (probably won’t) arrive on time if ordered online.

I mentioned in my recent blog post that I think hand creams are a great present for almost everyone. This Yardley Hand Cream Collection comes with four different scents and is only £10, which is such a bargain!

Olay is such a popular brand in my family and I love this little Regenerist Gift set, which comes with an Olay Regenerist 3 Point Age-Defying Night Cream and two free trial sized samples of Olay Regenerist 3 Point Day Cream SPF30, but is the same price as the night cream alone!

Candles always do great at Christmas and I have quite a few to give away this year. The Origins Feel Good Candle is a really beautiful pine-scented festive candle but I also love the Rodial Mary Katrantzou  as it’s more of a fresh citrus scent.

For skincare lovers there’s the Liz Earle The Botanical Collection Nourishing Borage, which includes an Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask, Sheer Skin Tint SPF 15 and 2 Muslin Cloths. The set is designed to brighten and hydrate the skin, which sounds like exactly what I need post Christmas.

If you’re after a set of nail polishes, which will get you through every occasion, then this Deborah Lippmann Her Majesty Set is perfect. It has 10 nail polishes enriched with biotin; there are 8 colours as well as a base and top coat.

I love makeup gift sets but sometimes they can be a little hard to get right. However, I think Makeup Forever have done a great job with this Artistic Essentials Makeup Favourites set. Inside there is a primer, powder, mascara, eye pencil and gloss – all essentials for any makeup wearer’s makeup bag.

I love the sleep products from This Works and will be keeping this Sleep Together set for myself, but again, it’s great for anyone that loves their sleep or needs a little extra sleep.

I love Juicy Couture fragrances and the House of Juicy Couture Deluxe Minis Gift set is great for people that are always on the go as they’re a great travel size, or for someone that wants to try JC fragrances before committing to a bigger bottle. The packaging is beautiful and you don’t often see fragrance sets with a variety of scents.

I honestly love the Zoella range this year and think this Let’s Go Places set is extra special, especially for a teen girl. Inside is a shower gel, body cream and hand cream, which all smell great and come beautifully packaged in this mini suitcase.

All the Molton Brown gift sets are fab, I love this Body Gift set which smells of Ylang-ylang and has a body wash, fragrance, body polisher and body lotion. It’s a nice, luxurious gift for a couple or any Molton Brown fan – I would love to have this lining my bath tub.

Hope this helped with any last minute gifts you still need.

Merry Christmas!

Fashion Week is usually quite a busy one and although I always tell myself I won’t be doing much I always end up saying yes to way more than I should and there just seems to be so many events even if I don’t actually go to that many shows. Add that to the change in season and my body slowly trying to adjust and it usually becomes a very busy and a bit of a stressful time but I have a few bits that I come back to for a little TLC.

My favourite way to end a stressful day is with a hot bath, a good cleanser and some extra skincare bits that I may sometimes miss out. I have been unable to stop using the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing balm, it’s pretty expensive and I’m more than half way through mine but it’s just the most luxurious and relaxing one I have. It’s a great one to use for a facial massage as it’s quite an oily and can be used all over the face and eyes. I like to spend an extra 10 minutes on this and really get my blood flowing around my skin, it’s really relaxing and really helps revitalise my tired skin.

Following that I will take care of my eye area which is always affected by my lack of sleep and I find a good cooling eye cream really helps relax me before bed. I follow that with a nice heavy night cream such as the Monu Extra Rich Night Cream one which I have really been loving this week (and I even wear it during the day!). I find that as soon as my skin gets a little dry my makeup just doesn’t last as long and really looks cakey, a good cream can help combat this and add radiance back to into my skin.

My favourite pre-sleep product however is the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray as I find it to really help me unwind and get a good nights sleep. I have the original and the Sleep Plus version, I choose between them depending on just how tired I am and find that even if I don’t get eight hours sleep, I am always a little more rested when I use this.

A great product for the morning is the Skyn Iceland Cooling Eye Patches, they come in their own little sachet so are perfect for travel and I like to put them on any time that I feel my eyes are a little puffy and I find that they really help cool and de-puff my eyes.

What products get you through a stressful time?

I usually like to do my monthly favourites as a video but I wasn’t terribly happy with this months video and also didn’t to share my favourites too late so I thought I would instead share them as a blog post.

I know people say this every single month but I am shocked by just how quickly the year has been going, I can’t believe it’s May next month and then June. Crazy.

This month I have been loving the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation which I review earlier this month (here). If you like to change over to a lighter foundation for the spring/summer this is a great, affordable foundation to go for. The coverage is still very buildable but it blends effortlessly into the skin, giving a natural but flawless finish.

I also stumbles across the new EcoTools Complexion Collection brushes brushes, if I’m honest I judged them by their cover and as they are a bright yellow wood with a teal ferrule I wasn’t expecting too much. However as all my other brushes were dirty I gave them a try and I haven’t looked back since. They really buff the product in with minimal effort and I think there is potential for it to become my favourite foundation brush. I do find the smallest concealer brush to be very scratchy but other than that they are excellent and very affordable.

My primer of choice has been the This Work In Transit Camera Close Up which is superior to any other primer I have tried as it is also a moisturiser and mask in one. As my skin is a little dehydrated I really feel it helps my makeup apply more smoothly but more than anything it makes it last all day long.

My favourite launch of the month is the Clinique Pop Lip + Primer, the colour range is vast, they are creamy and pigmented too. Beige Pop has been my chosen shade all month but I can see myself working my way through the colours and falling in love along the way.

On my nails this month I have had two pastel shades; Barry M Speedy Quick Dry in Eat My Dust and Nails Inc VB Bamboo White. They are very different price points with Nails Inc VB Bamboo White being quite pricey, that said it’s probably one of my favourite every colours, the quality is beautiful, it dries quickly and last longer than most. Barry M Speedy Quick Dry in Eat My Dust is far more affordable and is my go-to colour when I need something that will dry very quick. It’s a fun pastel blue which isn’t too in your face and although I don’t find it particularly long lasting it does have pigmentation and shine.

A new discovery is Bondi Sands Fake Tan Lotion, I’ve been going between the dark and light lotion this month (if I’m honest it’s because I have misplaced the dark one). It applies really well with no streaks and doesn’t take too long to dry, the colour isn’t quite the darkest but I just love that it fades very evenly whereas I find myself having to painfully scrub other tans off to avoid patchiness.

Looking forward to trying some new products in April, even some brighter colours.

L’Occitane Hand Cream Trio, £22
Every woman needs hand cream but I feel mother’s need it even more and L’Occitane hand cream has to be one of my favourites ever. I love this trio as it’s got a range of scents and they’re handbag friendly too.

Soak & Sleep Grey Brushed Cotton Flannel, £45
I really love a personalised gift and these grey cotton pyjamas are a timeless present for any age. Soak & Sleep offer a whole range of personalised items and I also have/love the bathrobe.

Pandora Charm, Charms start at £20
I love jewellery as gifts as you don’t have to worry too much about the size of the person an a simple silver bracelet is pretty universal (unless they prefer gold). I particularly love Pandora bracelets as you can buy charms for future gifts and really personalise it to the individual.

Lucie & Sebastien Champagne (via 31Dover), £30
Mothers day calls for a celebration and therefore Champagne! A great gift that you will hopefully get to share.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic, £45
I think choosing a perfume for someone is always quite difficult and if you’re mother has a signature fragrance then I probably would stray from that. If she doesn’t or you know she is looking for something new than I would recommend giving Modern Muse Chic by Estee Lauder a go, it’s a feminine floral scent perfect for spring.

This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray, £25
Everyone deserves a good night’s sleep but I find I sleep best when I use the This Works Pillow Spray, I like the original but the Plus version is even better! Perfect for mum’s that are looking to catch up on their beauty sleep.

Becksondergaard Clutch, here
Clutches are currently my favourite gift to give as they aren’t as expensive as handbag’s and can often feel a little more luxurious as they’re are typically used on more special occasions. I am currently in love with this pale pink leather one which also comes in a few other colours but is the perfect size for essentials.

The Body Shop, starts at £4.50
If you are looking for affordable skincare than The Body Shop Vitamin E is the perfect balance between affordable and luxurious. I love all the products in the range but feel I reach for it even more in spring and summer, they also have some limited edition Queen themed packaging just for mother’s day.

Becksondergaard Scarf, here
One again I think a scarf is timeless and perfect for any age. Both my mother and I are in love with this one which is a Silk and Wool blend, she has already hinted at it as her mother’s day gift.
