New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year!!!

I hope you all had a fantastic NYE

I always think that New Years Resolutions are a little stupid, you don’t need a new year to change your goals in life but after watching a couple of videos and reading some blog posts I just couldn’t help but get involved!
Most of my resolutions will be no different from most other people but I thought I would share them…

1) Drink More Water.
Although this is a very basic resolution it is one that makes a huge difference. My skin, hair and my overall health change dramatically depending on the amount of water I consume.

2) Spend Less Money.
It would be fair to say that I am some what careless with money. As a student my income is very little but I still buy too many clothes and spend far too much money eating out!

3) Read More.
I am a little embarrassed to say that I can’t remember the last time I read a whole book which I think is a great shame! I buy lots of books, download them onto my iPad in the hope that I will read them but I never do and considering I spend a lot of time travelling on the train to uni it seems like such a waste of my time to just stare out the window.

4) Blog More
I love blogging but sometimes I think I don’t prioritise it highly enough, although it is just a hobby I really want to blog more and hopefully provide better content. I also want to start a YouTube Channel, I have been saying this for a while and have lots of tweets asking me to but I still haven’t got round to uploading my first video.

5) Be More Organised
In terms of my time I think I am quite good, I keep a diary and write endless lists to make sure I that I keep myself up-to-date and on task however I when it comes to my bedroom it is always a mess. I could easily change this by simply putting things back in the correct place but I don’t and I really must change this.

6) Stop Leaving Uni to the Last Minute
As I write this post I still have a 2000 word coursework to write for University due in tomorrow but I always find more interesting, less important things to do. I must try even harder to get University work done sooner, even if it is quite boring and seem slightly pointless.

7) Travel More
This is very much inspired by Mouldy Fruit who done a lot of travelling this year! I don’t quite have enough time or money do as much travelling as Zara did but I really should plan more mini trips within Europe or even within the UK! I do have plans to go to Paris a couple of times and Portugal but I have visited both places numerous times and I really should start exploring other places!

8) Do More Exercise
I have been saying that I would take up swimming again for a really long time! I don’t really think the gym is for me but I do really enjoy swimming and it such a great full body work out. I would like to lose some weight but the main reason I want to start going swimming is to get fit and more toned.

I think I have set myself eight resolutions which are all within reach as long as I put in a little more time and effort.

Leave below some of your resolutions and any tips you may have to help me achieve mine!
Hope 2012 is a fantastic year for you all!!

I was (and shamelessly still am) the same at leaving assignments for uni until the last minute! My resolutions are definitely spend less – I'm going to do a money diary so I can see exactly how much money I'm spending. Got my eye on a lovely 'Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake' notebook from Amazon which will work nicely 🙂 Hope you had a lovely Xmas and New Year xx

These are great resolutions, even though I'm not a fan of NY's resolutions; these seem like they're realistic enough to achieve. I definitely agree with you on the uni coursework thing; I spent the entire day yesterday on Blogger and watching YouTube beauty videos, then had to stay up until 3am writing a 2,500 word essay that I was given three months ago and was due today. Absolutely ridiculous! x

@Sarah TBH I will never be that person that finishes assignements 3 weeks before it is due, but I can try haha. A money diary is a great idea but I think its quite time consuming I think I am going to try and really analysis my bank statement when it comes through and see where I can cut down.

@Boscy- Blogger and YT is exactly what I spend my time watching instead of CW, but at least we get it done!

@Silvia Quiros- Thanks for the support

    @Daisy- Good luck

These are great resolutions. I agree with the drink more water, I find it so hard! I never think to keep my water intake up during the day but the benefits are huge.
Best of luck with your goals! xx

My resolution is based around the idea of '365'.. 365 days in a year – I plan to make myself a different goal or task to complete everyday. I have started documenting it and I think that when I have a crappy day Ill be able to look back on it and think.. you did it. Youve achieve all of this. It's my own way of encouraging myself to 'just keep swimming' and be positive always 🙂
