D.I.Y Friendship Bracelets

If you follow me on Instagram or twitter you may have seen I have recently been into making bracelets. Today Monica from Craftstyle will be showing us how to make these great friendship bracelets which are quite easy to make with supplies which are quite easy to find…
This season friendship bracelets have been a huge hit. These are perfect for stacking and can add a little quirkiness to any outfit. The fun part of it all is that you can modify them till your heart’s content.  For this D.i.y., I decided to make a simple suede and chain bracelet that looks a little bit edgier.

1. Measure and cut two 12 inch strands of chain. Join the two strands by attaching the jump rings. Attach the lobster claw closure on one of the ends.

 2. Measure and cut two 36 inch strands of suede cord. Make sure your have your chain flat against a surface and pass the two strands under the chain. Fold the suede strands in half and make sure they’re equal on both sides of the chain. Knot the two strands an inch down the chain. I don’t knot the suede cord just below the closure in case I need to make some adjustments to the length of the chain once the bracelet is finished.

Begin to braid. Once you’re about an inch away from the other end, stop braiding. Knot the two suede strands. In this part, I like to use a little dot of glue to secure the knot because you don’t want it to unwind once you cut out the excess.

You’re bracelet should look a little something like this. If you want to add some glam to it, you can add some rhinestone strands to the mix.

A huge thank you to Monica for sharing this great DIY! I can’t wait to try it myself
