Estee Lauder Violet Underground

Have you ever owned a eyeshadow palette so pretty that you didn’t want to use it? Well meet my new Estee Lauder palette- isn’t she a beaut? It took me a little while to pluck up the courage to risk ruining its prettiness! This slightly plain, navy little case contains 5 beautiful shades perfect for the autumn and all surprisingly wearable!

The five shades range from a fushia pink to a dark black all with a very subtle metallic sheen. Although featuring some very bright and jewel-toned colours this palette is still very wearable as it has a large, light beige-peach which is perfect for all over the eye you can then use on of the other slightly less wearable colours such as the fushia pink and the vivid violet as a crease colour, on the outer corner or under the eye. For a more natural eye team the light colour with the bronze and if you want to add more drama and transform the look from day to night you can also use the dark black shadow in the middle.

All the shades are very soft although the fushia isn’t quite as pigmented as the other colours but you can also use all the colours damp for real opaqueness.  They apply beautifully, blend nicely and you can achieve a good 8 hours wear from them. It has a lovely large mirror and some slightly useless applicators.

I love liquid liner so was pretty excited to try this one. Estee Lauder Pure Color Quick-Thick Liner is as the name would suggest a thick eyeliner. This liner is very black which I really love however other I find it quite hard to apply due to its size and it makes applying liner far less quick. I also found that it didn’t last quite as long as I wanted so although I will wear this eyeliner until it finishes it wouldn’t be my first choice. But you never know maybe in a few month’s of practice I will get use to its larger size.

This palette is by far the most beautiful palette I own, the ribbon detailing on the shadows themselves and the gold on the case really make it a stunning must-have palette. The eyeliner isn’t quite what I am use to but might be worth a look if you are looking for very black liner and think you could get use to the thickness.

The palette is available now for £40, I would imagine that it will be a quick seller.
The Eyeliner retails for a rather pricey £20
and are both part of the Violet Underground Collection

That has to be the prettiest palette I have ever seen, I wouldn't want to touch it and ruin the effect. The pink and the violet are my favourites. xx
