1.Take a stroll down the South Bank at night
This is my number one favourite thing to do in London. The South Bank is magical by day but even more so after dusk, there is always something going on and the London Eye and Houses of Parliament are always beautifully illuminated.
2.Explore your local area
It’s so easy to forget what you have right on your door step. Take the day to discover local cafes, boutiques and parks.
3.Visit a Market
London is filled with great markets which are particularly special in the sunshine try Colombia Road, Portobello Road or Borough Market.
4.Get on the bus
Since I am originally from fairly central London I personally love the bus as sometimes it’s quicker (and pretty much always cheaper) than the tube and I think it’s a great way to get to know London. I love markets! It's true about the bus, you can see more and get a sense of where everything is. Double deckers are cool, and I never fail to go upstairs hahaha!
I used to work down near HMS Belfast – I used to love walking up and down by Tower Bridge at night with the Tower of London lit up on the opposite bank. You are spot on with the South Bank at night, it really does look fantastic. Stephen :o)
Im moving to London next month and it's quite daunting haha! Thanks for the tips, I'm already looking forward to London's markets!
