St Tropez Instant Tan Waterproof
I’ve been using this for years now, even before it was a waterproof product and find it to be my favourite instant tan. The colour isn’t very dark but it adds a little colour, dries quickly and I don’t have to worry about rain or spilt drinks. Even my mother, who is scared of fake tan loves this!
MAC Face & Body,
If you are looking for some coverage as well as a little colour I really like the MAC Face & Body. I find this foundation to be a little too sheer for my face most days but I love wearing it on my body, it isn’t going to cover bruises or tattoos but it will really help even out your skin tone and I’ve even used it to cover fake tan mistakes. As it is quite sheer you can go a shade or two darker and once it sets you don’t need to worry about it transferring.
He-Shi Rapid 1 Hour Tan
If you want a light-medium looking tan I’ve been loving the Clinique Self Sun Body Tint which adds the perfect glow without being too dark and lasts a good few days. It also doesn’t have a very strong scent for those of you that hate the biscuity fake tan smell.
Bioderma Photoderm Autobronzant £15
If you are looking for a slightly darker tan I would recommend this one which is super easy to apply and has a very natural but darker colour. I also find that this hides imperfections quite well due to it’s consistency, although it comes in a spray I personally still love a mitt.

That Bioderma tan looks great! If only I'd known it existed when I was living in Paris. I love fake tan and Clarins is my personally favourite, even though I don't really have the patience to do it very often.

Need to try the st tropez! I always use Sally Hansen and rimmel mixed which makes for disasterous results as soon as drinks get spilt on nights out! Waterproof is what I need!
I never wear tanning products but London has been so gum and gloomy this year that I'm still as pasty as in December so may have to give these a try! Thanks for sharing.

My favourite at the moment is Xen Tan's dark lotion! I'm definitely going to try out some of these though, the He-Shi Rapid 1 Hour Tan sounds good and I love using face and body to even out my skin tone! xx

This was a very helpful post for someone like me that has been afraid of trying fake tanning! I think that based on your descriptions, I'll start by giving a try to the Clinique Self Sun Body Tint! xo
