Before coming away on holiday I decided to book in for a few pre-holiday treatments, some essentials and some were just little treats.
My first one was at the Clarins counter in John Lewis on Oxford Street, they have a great little section off the shop floor where you can choose from facials and massages, they are each 30 minutes and cost only £25 which I think is excellent value for money and great for anyone that doesn’t have much time. I went for the Get Glowing Facial which was excellent but I am very tempted to go back for a massage once I am back in the UK.
A holiday essential is waxing, I went to Wax in the City which is a walk in salon offering only waxing and based on the Kings Road. I would say it was the least painful Brazilian wax I have ever had and I’m a real baby when it comes to waxing. It’s a great place to go if like me you always forget to book before hand but I also find they’re real experts in waxing and it far less painful.
For my mani/pedi I turned to PRIV an app which allows you to book treatments and beauticians to come straight to your house/office. I’m still not 100% sure if I would want a massage in my own house as I think it may almost take the luxurious and spa like feeling out of it but it’s perfect for a manicure/pedicure, especially in the winter when you want to get your toes painted as you won’t need to put your shoes on to get home after. My mani/pedi was by Anna and she done a really great job, have it at home meant I didn’t have to spend time travelling to and from the salon which was great as I hadn’t finished all my packing. I got shellac on my finger nails and normal polish on my toes, as they are mobile they’re colour selection isn’t enormous but it was enough and I love the colour I chose.
At Heathrow Terminal Two I also made the most of World Duty Free’s free mini treatments which are available to everyone. I had a neck and hand massage from Elizabeth Arden, a skin consultation from Khiels and had my makeup done at Nars, they’re all really great if you have some extra time to kill before your flight and are looking to try some of their brands. I also picked up a few items in World Duty Free but I have a haul coming soon.
Back in the UK tomorrow so hopefully normal blogging will return shortly, sorry about the lack of posts but theres just not good enough internet in the middle of nowhere in Portugal.
Love the nail polish colour you chose!

It's nice to have a pamper before going away. I've always been tempted to get a quick manicure in the airport before a flight! One day I'll actually do it!

A good pre holiday pamper is an essential. I always get a pedicure and a wax! I'm off again soon and think I'm going to book in for a facial a couple of weeks before.
