Festival Favourites

festivalIf you follow me on Snapchat (alittleobsessed) then you might have seen that I spent Saturday at British Summer Time Festival with Sonic Chic, listening to Kendrick Lamar and Florence and the Machine whilst eating far too much junk food and sheltering from occasional rain storms.

It was such a great time and I thought I would share some of my festival essentials.

As I wore shorts some pre-festival leg prep was essential, I used a BIC disposable razor which I have been loving as they are super affordable and the , which is a game changer! Although I love going bare-legged my legs are less than perfect and this really helps them, it offers a little bit of a tan and coverage whilst still looking really natural, it’s basically a foundation for your legs. I was worried about wearing it all day and had no issues whatsoever, even when I spilt a drink down my legs and was caught in a downpour. I would avoid wearing it with a white dress as I think it might transfer a little but other than it is amazing! I also think I’ll be taking this on holiday with me as it’s great for the evening but washes off when I want to sit by the pool and catch a real tan.

In terms of makeup, I think that a festival is the perfect excuse to have some fun. There are so many festival gems around but I love the Lottie ones as they actually have some dainty very wearable ones. I ran out of time but temporary tattoos are also so much fun and there are so many incredible designs about now. However personally I still think glitter is really fun and Topshop probably does the most impressive, inexpensive one! I have another festival coming up next week and I don’t think I’ll be able to resist!

Onto handbag essentials…

Hand sanitizer, doesn’t need explaining, it’s essential! Tissue, in case the loos are all out or if like me you’re a little clumsy and spill your drink. Even in London sun cream is essential as it’s so important to stay safe in the sun, especially if you’re going to be outside all day! If it’s a hot day then a facial mist such as Avene Eau Thermale spray can be really refreshing and is a great way to freshen your hair up throughout the day without getting the sort of buildup many other dry shampoos leave you with. I also like to pack a toothbrush with me and if you’re camping it is absolutely essential, I love the Sonic Chic one as it not only looks cute but it’s electric, making it the perfect toothbrush for festivals and traveling, I’ll be taking mine to Portugal at the end of the month.

Have you got any festival plans this summer? What are your festival essentials?

I’ve never been to a music festival and don’t have plans to go to one this year, but these are great essentials for any long day where you are out and about!

Hand sanitizer is deeeeeefinitely a must-have! I often also take a mini shower gel or hand wash with me so I can wash my hands properly in case there’s no soap.
