Earlier today I was watching this video
by Sali Hughes who is the Beauty Columnist at the Guardian and I realised exactly why I always tell people not to buy my beauty products as a Christmas Present. Sali Hughes suggests that when buying Beauty Gifts they must be ‘frivolous, luxurious and most importantly a real treat and I couldn’t agree more! I think that Beauty Gift sets are perfect for people who never buy beauty products or young teenagers that are just starting out but not for a beauty fanatic.
As a beauty blogger I obviously have an obsession with beauty and have lots of products to prove it! Although a gift set filled to the brim with body lotions and potions sounds like the perfect gift for me it isn’t, I see them more as a burden as I have no where to store the products. Instead I would like a luxurious product I would never buy myself simply because of the price. Sali Hughes says the best way to get something very luxurious is to get the least amount of things for the amount you want to spend and I think this is a great way to be sure you get something that will feel like a fabulous treat!
