Manicure Monday: Manicure Extras

Today has been one of those days, nothing has gone right. I got up from bed feeling pretty ill but thought it was a good excuse to paint my nails and write a manicure Monday posts. All excited I pulled out a fabulous Nails Inc shade, painted my nails and waited for it to dry. Sadly, it was one of those colours that are a little harder to photograph and due to the very cloud sky it made it impossible. I then tried out a few new texture polishes but honestly nothing has gone well.

Instead I thought I would share the one item that comes to the rescue when my polish needs to be removed quickly and efficiently- Bourjois Magic Nail polish remover. It’s been around for a while now but I only first tried in February, I’d heard so many rave reviews but thought it was simply a gimmick. On my first go I wasn’t wow’d, yes it removed my nail polish but it took about 10 second each nail which seems normal. However now I understand why everyone raves about it.

Just in case you somehow haven’t heard of the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover it is a little tub with a sponge inside, you stick your nail/finger in the sponge leave it in for a few seconds (depends on the amount of polish) wiggle and remove it. When your nail comes out it will be completely polish free, quickly and easily.

If like me you paint your nails really often I think this is the perfect product and a beauty blogger essential! It’s also perfect for travelling even though I would love to see an even smaller version.
I’ve had mine since February so I also think it lasts quite a long time but it won’t replace a standard nail polish remover completely as you can’t do your toes or glitter polish with this.

After dozens of comments telling me to purchase some dotting tools from eBay I finally got around to it and they were so cheap I can’t believe I didn’t order them before hopefully I will get some nail art ideas up soon!

Hope you are all having a fab Monday!

If you were looking for a smaller version, it isn't Bourjois but Pretty Quik (I got mine in Boots, not sure where else does them though) also does the same kind of thing in a smaller tub. I've used both and found them to be pretty equal quality wise 🙂 xx

I don't think this product is too harsh on your nails either (as far as i'm aware!) so it makes me feel less guilty about how quickly I like to change me polish 🙂

I've been wanting to try this product for a while now and I've heard (as you said) that it is great for removing nail polish but I was just wondering how good it would be for glitter polishes? Would it ruin the sponge? Great post! Bea xxx

I've heard great things about the Bourjois nail polish remover and I really want to try it! It seems quite unhygienic in the long run though.

I manage to remove glitter nail varnish better with that than using a regular nail polish remover and cotton pad, the cotton pad fluffs up and falls apart, where as that sponge stays put. xx

Great timing! I've seen this Nail Polish remover a few times on the Littlewoods Ireland site but wasn't sure what the fuss was about! Will be going back to purchase. I've bought some nail dotting tools recently on ebay as well but haven't done much yet, other than some pretty messy polka dots, can't wait to see what designs you come up with!

I couldn't live without it! It's just magical! Too bad you ruin it with glitters.
