Blue Skies and Rain: Guest Post Faye Cavania

I love Faye Cavania’s blog and was really sad to see she had stopped blogging. I would regularly check back to see if she had started again and she has! All her photos are so beautiful and I love reading every single post so I was very excited when she emailed me to guest blog for me! Faye is also on Twitter and Instagram so don’t forget to follow her and I hope you enjoy her outfit…

As you all know, Sabrina is off on holiday (the lucky thing!) and she has enlisted the help of various guest bloggers to prepare some posts for A Little Obsessed to keep things running smoothly whilst she’s away. Today I’m paying a visit from Faye Cavania!

Halfway through taking these photographs, I looked down and realized I wasn’t wearing any footwear.

One thing I love about living in sunny, carefree Australia is that sometimes, when walking in the garden, quickly visiting a friend or walking down the road, you just forget to wear shoes. Keys? Check. Phone? Check. Shoes? Meh.
I’m still not too sure if it’s considered the norm because of the warm weather or because people just assume you’re on your way back from the beach, but either way it’s something I have wholeheartedly embraced since moving here.

Dress: Lucy in the Sky, Lipstick: Topshop Infrared, Necklace: River Island (old)

There’s something timeless about shift dresses; the simple yet flattering shape, the ability to dress them down for everyday wear with simple sandals and basic jewellery, or to dress them up for a night out with heels and statement pieces. I was given this one by my friends for my 18th birthday – oh they know me so well!

Lovely pictures! I'm French, but I lived in Australia, and I saw so many people not wearing shoes, it was just odd… Maybe a recollection of the aboriginal way of life…
