YSL Corail Divin Manicure Monday

I’ve had this colour sitting patiently, waiting to be reviewed for a while. High-end beauty brands have notoriously bad quality nail polishes in my opinion (Chanel, Dior & MAC to name a few) so I had pushed YSL’s Corail Divin to the side (Now I think about it, I do like the Estee Lauder polishes). However I figured I would bite the bullet and give it a go as it is a perfect summer coral.

The packaging, of course is beautiful. Even if it did live up to my highend nail polish stereo type I would be more than happy to simply have it on my dressing table look pretty and adding a little colour.

With the first layer I was quite surprised as it applied really well not too thick or thin, simply the perfect consistency and with two layers it’s opacity was perfect. It dried quickly, remained shiny and didn’t cheap. It’s a perfect summer coal in a perfect formulation.

Only problem? The colour is extremely difficult to photograph! But I’ll describe it for you… it is a bright, almost neon creamy orange with pink undertones.

It is the perfect nail colour for both hands and toes, a little pricey (okay, a lot) at £18 but a beautiful little treat!

I have yet to get my fingertips on a high end nail polish but by the sound of their quality, I say I'm not missing much. I'm glad this offering from YSL didn't lived up to your usual stereotype as it's an extremely gorgeous coral shade. But for £18, I'm not exactly rushing out to make a purchase. I would if I could though 🙂

This color is really beautiful. I am going to have to keep my eye out for it.

I just bought my first YSL nail polish in Rose Baby Doll and just applied it yesterday. It applied and dried very well, now I'm just testing out its wear, but so far so good!
