New In & First Impressions #1

I love watching YouTube videos with first impressions on products and seeing new product people have got however I don’t see quite as many post on blogs so I thought today I would share what new products I have received and what I thought. I haven’t had any of these products for long so they are just my first impressions but let me know what you would like an in-depth review and swatches on. Please note that I will be talking about what is new to me; somethings will be new releases but somethings won’t, hope that okay.

The Body Shop English Dawn White Gardenia
I was expecting to like these too much but actually have been reaching for the fragrances a fair bit as it’s the perfect go-to easy, fresh spring scent. I would skip the skip the and purchase the and at only £15.50 you can’t go wrong.

Burt’s Bees Lip Colours
I was quite excited to receive these and I love that they came out with a few different products to chose from. I have moved the lip colours straight into my bag as they’re a really nice to to balm with a tint also really like the lip shines. Sadly for me the lip glosses are a little shimmery as I prefer more creme coloured ones. I love the packaging on everything especially the Lip Balms and all seem to be great quality. Tinted lip balms retail for

Topshop Spice Market Nail Polishes
I’m always excited to receive Topshop makeup, these warm hues were used on the nails at SS14 Unique Catwalk and are inspired by the Eastern Spice Markets. Although I’m not overly excited about them at the moment as I am really loving pastels I do think they are both beautiful colours which would get lots of use in any collection. Colours are:  and All I Need is Aniseed-

Trish McEvoy Power of Makeup Planner
I don’t know too much about the Trish McEvoy range but am very excited to have the chance to try the new planner which is part of the Azure Collection. Not only is the case itself the perfect blue but they have managed to get everything you would need (well almost) inside this rather small organiser. They have lip, eyes and cheeks covered, all you need is your favourite base. A little one the pricey side but it would make a perfect gift for mother’s day which is coming up!

DKNY Summer 2014
Another perfume launch from DKNY inspired by New York. This is a great perfume for all you fruity lovers with a slightly more grown up musky undertone. I actually think I prefer this to the usual DKNY scents but I just wish the bottle weren’t quite as long.  £38 for 100ml available exclusively at Superdrug 9th April.

Those Topshop polishes are great – however they seem more autumn colours than spring! Great for saving until later in the year though!
