Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Usually I blog about palettes almost straight after getting them but I wanted to give this a good go before saying too much about it.

This palette is not only designed to look like a chocolate bar but also smells ridiculously heavenly just like chocolate. It houses sixteen eyeshadows most of which live somewhere in the brown family with the exception of a pink and purple and range from mattes to shimmers. Now the elephant in the room has to be the price, it’s £45, yes £45 for a gimmicky eyeshadow palette that smells of chocolate, but is it more than that?

With the highend price tag in mind theres something about the magnetic tin that I just don’t love, it doesn’t seem to close securely enough although I do love that it has a decent size mirror inside (which I’ll probably never use.)

I’ve seen a few people compare this palette to the Urban Decay Naked Palette and I can see why but this palette has 4 more eyeshadows, two of which are quite large in size. The quality isn’t quite Urban Decay with some of the mattes being a little chalky although some shades are fairly buttery. The shades are nice although the light pink and purple are unlikely to get any use.

Is it a must have palette? No, not really. If you want a neutral palette go for one of the Urban Decay Naked Palette’s it’s £8 cheaper and the quality of the eyeshadows is consistently outstanding and you have the choice out of three. However if you have all three Naked Palette and have the urge to add another palette to your collection this is a nice one, especially if you are a chocolate lover like me.

To see me using a couple of the colours in this palette check out my video here where I also talk a little about it.

What is your favourite eyeshadow palette? Have you got this Chocolate Palette?

This does look really pretty and I love the whole chocolate scent idea but for £45 I think I will also stick to my Naked palettes, especially since I currently have my eyes firmly set on the Naked 3! X

I reaaaally want this but the price puts me off too so your review was super helpful. I have Naked2 and I tend to be really picky about my shadows now so this is good to know! x

I was totally considering picking this up for awhile. I'd seen a few vloggers review it over on Youtube and they'd come out with some fab looks – but I'm definitely reconsidering now after your review! I've got all the Naked palettes and theres really not many shades that I don't already have. The price tag's a little high for my liking!

I do really like the look of this, but it is a little pricey and if I'm splurging I'd probably go for the Smashbox full exposure or another Naked one!

I love how this palette also contains a couple of pink/red/purple shades and not jsut the bogstandard browns and nudes! 😀
    Great review 🙂
