The water, The Oil and The Balm

I’m not a huge fan of Micellar waters and actually really don’t get on with Bioderma (really dehydrates my skin) but I still think they are useful and like to have on near by. I would never recommend using Micellar water as your evening cleanse but they are great to remove makeup mistakes and even as a pre-cleanse. I’ve tried lots of them from high end to drugstore and my favourite is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as it removes makeup really well, is a large bottle, does leave residue and most importantly for me, is doesn’t dehydrate or irritate my skin/

When I need remove my makeup quickly and effectively than I always turn to oils although I am careful as some (particularly those with mineral oil) break me out. My go-to at the moment is L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil, I use it all over my face even on my eyes and it effortlessly removed everything without leaving an oily film. I do find thought that it works much better with just one pump as sometimes I do over apply and am left with a lot of product, I love the pump as it makes it hygienic and far less messy than having to pour it out.

However the cleanser of all cleansers has to be Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm, this little beauty is pretty expensive and one I’ve started saving for special occasions but it’s my absolute favourite. It’s packed of great ingredients that I find really help calm but also feed my skin, I love most balm cleansers but I find this one makes the biggest difference to my skin and it’s perfect for a facial massage too. If I could have one cleanser for the rest of life this would probably be but it would be quite an expensive routine to upkeep.

I've never tried a cleansing oil, but this sounds really nice. I have also never tried Micellar water, but after reading this I don't feel the need to, ha! So thanks for saving me a bit of money šŸ™‚

I'm forever trying new cleaners and ways to take my makeup off! I love my ever trusty Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but I also love Vichy products as well!

I've yet to try a cleansing oil, my skin is actually really dry so I imagine they'd be quite good for me. I haven't been wowed by micellar water either! cottonandcandie xx

I couldn't live without the Garnier micellar cleansing water, it's such a good price as well for how well it removes your make-up and cleanses
