One of my favourite releases of 2014 was the Models Own Polish For Tans Collection which include my favourite polish of last year, Beach Bag. Naturally I was very excited to hear that they have released 5 new shades also design to enhance a tan.
This years collection is made up of a yellow, a blue, a pink and two orange shades but I do find the formula a little different to last years. Last years dried to an semi matte finish and were quite difficult to apply because they were quite thick. This one is a little glossier but also has a thinner consistency meaning you need an extra coat for some of the colours.
Colour wise these simply aren’t quite as tan enhancing as last year although I do love all the colours. Sarong Wrap is a bright yellow, I love this sort of colour, it’s really fun and makes me instantly happy. Beach Hut is a bright orange whereas Cocktail Hour is a neon darker coral. If you are looking for a perfect Barbie Pink nail polish than Malibu Pink is the colour for you and Turquoise Sea is a beautiful blue shade.
I too agree that the colours are not as great as the previous release. I think I will stick to Beach Bag 🙂
