Precious About Makeup

I am lucky enough to go to a few Beauty events & launches but this week I was actually a little nervous to attend the launch party for PAM’s new studio space. I was nervous as I was going by myself and didn’t know anyone there but I ended up having a fabulous time!

For those of you that don’t know PAM stands for Precious About Make-up and is a makeup store near Shepard Bush. I had personally never been but had heard lots from other bloggers and YouTubers (such as Pixiwoo & Gossmakeup) I think it is most famous for being the best place to purchase Makeup Forever in London.

When I arrived I realized that PAM is like no other makeup shop I have ever been too but that might be because I have been to very few independent makeup stores. Its a completely different experience than buying makeup from a department store or pharmacy!

The event was largely for Makeup artists and along with great canapes, champagne and cupcakes there was body painting, prosthetics and makeup demos. I spend a large amount of time around the Makeup Forever makeup artist- David Arbid and actually learnt so much! He used no powder products to achieve a very up-to-date makeup look, what shocked me most was the use of a slightly shimmery eyeshadow mixed with a cream eyebrow colour to achieve a natural look which mirrored the shine you get in your hair naturally! I would never have thought it was okay to use any shimmer in the brows but it really worked!

I was on a tight schedule that day and was sure I wouldn’t spend longer than an hour there but ended up spending closer to 3 hours! It is a lovely, bright studio but the entire store has a very homely feel to it, from the location to the actual studio.

I would highly recommend a trip down to PAM if you can or check out their website here
They carry a whole rang of makeup brands many of which are difficult to find in the UK- you can also order products over the phone.

The address is
PAM 6-7 Goldhawk Mews Shepherds Bush
London W12 8PA

Opening times here  and more information available on their website
Also keep an eye out for more information about their new Studio
