A Little Darker

At the end of last month I booked to get my hair fully dyed dark, I scheduled it for a months time and decided that I’d be ready then to face autumn and winter with darker hair. However, I was wrong!

When I got to Gro Hampstead, Serafina and I agreed that instead of going dark all over she’d instead darken my roots and blend it with my lighter ends. I’ve been getting my hair cut & coloured with Serafina at Gro Hampstead for the past year and would highly recommend her if you’re London based and looking for a hairdresser. We’ve changed it a fair bit over the last year from Balayage to dark brown and back again but she always gives me exactly what I ask for and I always leave really happy.

My hair now is a little darker on the top which I love but Serafina also used a darker and warmer toner on the ends too, it’s a little more autumnal but I’m so happy to still have the gradation in colour. The cut is really anything different but she kindly curled it too with a medium tong which I think works particularly well with any sort of balayage/ombre.

I was so worried about going dark and really though I would miss the lighter but I’m so happy with the current shade that I haven’t missed it at all. I’ve booked to go a little darker again but I’m so in love with this shade that I’m not too sure I will…

If you are looking for a London hairdresser Serafina is amazing and based in Hampstead but I’ve heard generally great things from lots of my friends about Gro London as a whole and they’re quite reasonably priced too.

Will you be going darker for the colder months?
