Shocking YSL Mascara

I’m that person that tells you not to bother with high end mascara because drugstore ones are just as good however although it pains me I feel I have found one worth the money.

A few year back I use to love Lancome Hypnose and more recently I discovered Clinique Dramatically Different but I’ve always gone back to my trusty drugstore ones such as Soap & Glory and Max Factor 2000 Calories. However over the summer I decided to crack open my YSL mascara as a treat and fell in love- hard.

It might be because it comes in beautifully luxurious packaging but I haven’t used much else since getting it. I find it adds great volume which stays all day and you can really build up the layers. However you have to be patient with this product, I found that the first week the formula is a little too wet but now it’s perfect. You need to be careful not too overload the brush (consider removing some excess onto a tissue the first few uses) and start right from the root of the lashes. It does take time but this mascara can give great results,

And since it’s sunday and I haven’t washed my hair I have included a strangely cropped photo but hopefully you can see that it has given me some length but lots of volume especially around the root, which almost looks like I am wearing eyeliner as it is so black.

I also love the Faux Clis Mascara so I can’t wait to be able to give Baby Doll a go!
I just discovered this is currently just (Usually )

What is your favourite high end mascara? Have you tried any YSL mascaras?

Wow Sabrina check out those lashes girl they look false but so natural at the same time. I have never tried ysl before but after evading this review if I was to try them the first thing I will consider is this mascara. The packenging is so nice I love the way gold and black look , just gives it that expensive look.

I love that this doesn't have a rubber brush! It makes me want to try it even more–and seeing the results photo is making me think I need this mascara in my life. Thanks for your review!

YSL was always my original mascara purchase, I used to love it although I have been trying out more drugstore finds of late.

I recently bought this from feelunique too! I am the same, I haven't used much else since getting it and cannot wait to get my review up. Have you noticed the rosy scent to it? I also find it a bit 'wet' at first but with some playing around the pay off is amazing. x

It's one of my faves, especially in sultry burgundy (killer for green eyes)
